Stagg Chilli, an enema in a can!!
Review of Stagg Chilli, Classic Con Carne by
toepunt10
Advantages: Tates great, fairly cheap and cooks in minutes
Disadvantages: Can be painful the day after
...with him for the next few days. Many a time he has been caught out in the middle of doing something and has had to sprint for the nearest toilet so that he can unleash his bowels on an unsuspecting toilet bowl. I seem to recall a time where Stagg Chilli resulted in a public toilet being covered in faecal matter; it was a scene so horrific that if you were ever to see it you would gouge your eyes out. You have been warned about the power of Stagg dynamite chilli, so eat with caution and be aware that it is not the faint hearted. If scientists were ever to harness its power then they could make a bomb far more powerful than anything humanity has seen before.
Stagg Chilli is widely available in a number of supermarkets and is generally found in isles full of tins. In terms of price, it is fairly pricey, often setting you back around the 1.50...

Why did they call it Stagg
Review of Stagg Chilli, Classic Con Carne by
chelle2u
Advantages: Tastes nice and has less than 5% fat
Disadvantages: The thought of eating chilli that was in a tin
...Until recently the thought of eating chilli con carni that had been tinned would have totally put me off, the thought of meat being tinned isn't exactly appealing! However, my slimming world consultant and magazine recommended it! I tried it and I love it!
At around 1.39 (roughly, depending where you shop) it's cheaper than making your own chilli! Each can could serve 2 as a small snack or one person for a main meal! And unlike other tinned food, it doesn't have less meat there is plenty of beef in the tin!
The tin itself has very clear instructions on how to cook it
On the Hob:
Pour chilli into pan
Heat on a medium heat for 5 - 8 mins
Stirring frequently
In Microwave (750w)
Put chilli in microwavable bowl, cover loosely
Heat on high for 2 to 3 mins
Stir once
Upon reading these instructions it is also clear that Stagg...

Stagg Chilli ... It's Flamin Great
Review of Stagg Chilli, Classic Con Carne by
gabrielangeles
Advantages: Can be nuked
Disadvantages: Could have been hotter
...Recently I was asked if I actually eat any normal food after I wrote a fair number of ops regarding choccy bars … well actually I do and what’s more I am a total nut on certain foods namely chilli !!
When it comes to food of the world Tex/Mex ranks right up there at the top and for me the hotter the better. I love hot food, I want smoke coming out of my ears and flames shooting from my mouth with every mouthful. A great chilli is one that will make me sweat which unfortunately Stagg didn’t but that doesn’t mean that that it was c**p !!
Now for me being a chilli connoisseur I was a little dubious about this stuff hence the reason it sat in my cupboard for weeks on end until I got a hankering for something hot instead of the choccy bars and other c**p foods people assume on Ciao! that I eat.
Now looking at the can I...

Stagg Violin
Review of Violin by
lilpad
Advantages: Cheap, fun, nice sound, rewarding, you learn skills and discipline
Disadvantages: Quality of strings
...I actually bought this brand new and its a brilliant instrument, as i mentioned above the sound is very nice, its also very comfortable to play. Stagg seems to be good in providing cheap but quality instruments from about 50 pounds upwards they come with a decent case, bow, strap and resin. This is actually my 4th instrument i am learning but i'd say it was one of my favourites. Alot of people say learning the violin is horrible because of the sound it makes but i have not found any off this. I am teaching myself the violin and there are plenty of rescources to do this, it actually seems a fairly common thing to do. Playing an imstrument helps with many skills such as listening and rhythm. It also helps (especially with children) to teach one discipline and time management. I didnt start any instruments till i was 14 and there are pros...

Lumpy Meat makes a tasty treat
Review of Stagg Chilli, Classic Con Carne by
andycharger
Advantages: Tasty, strong and hot
Disadvantages: Not too keen on the texture.
...Until 12 months ago, I had it in my mind that I disliked Chilli for some reason. Then, I was made to eat it during mealtimes with my wife as it is one of her favourite dinners.
After a few months I actually began to like it and looked forward to a tasty delight from Mexico. It is not hard to make and is just a matter of throwing a few ingredients in a pan.
But wait. You can make it even quicker straight from the tin. Rather than cooking for 30 mins, you can now have an instant Chilli in under 3 mins!
Yes. That's right. Instant Chilli in a can. A Stagg Chilli.
Cooking this product can be done in 2 ways:
Microwave.
Simply take it from the can and add to a microwavable dish and cook on full heat for 3 minutes.
Traditional Cooker.
Tip into a saucepan and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. This gives you time...

Brassed Off? Think Of My Neighbours
Review of Stagg Florian Trombone by
JeffFromPoole
Advantages: Great Value, Well made, good fun
Disadvantages: None
...Yes, it's true, I am reviewing another musical instrument. I was given this trombone for Christmas and I am trying to master it.
So what is a trombone? There are several types of trombone but the one I have is the one that most people would recognise, a standard tenor instrument.
I have had other instruments by Stagg and have found them to be great value, well made and suitable for student to intermediate players.
If you were to assess my playing skills on a scale from 1-10 I suppose I would come in at about -3.
It's a tricky instrument, the theory, from my physics lessons thirty five years ago, is that the longer the column of air in a tube, the lower the note. As you will know the trombone has a slide that can be extended to lengthen the tube to create lower notes.
Using the mouthpiece you pucker up...

SOME LIKE IT HOT ! ! !
Review of Stagg Chilli, Classic Con Carne by
poppieandjacksdad
Advantages: Bit pricey
Disadvantages: If you dont like 'em hot this one's painful!!
...On a visit to Tesco recently there was a nice smell eminating from the store entrance that doesnt usually greet us on our weekly shop.
On further inspection I noticed a large stall giving away FREE samples of Stagg Chilli.
Well, anything for free, thats my Motto......
At the 'servery' I even had a choice of Stagg Chilli to try.
There was 3 different varieties on offer, a Vegetable Chilli, Original Chilli and , the best of all, Dynamite Hot Chilli.
I opted for the Dynamite and after just the first forkfull my mouth was burning, not unpleasently but a nice, tatsy burning, leaving my tastebuds screaming.
WOW!!!
I had found a new best friend! (apart from my beautiful wife)
This stuff was amazing. After the first free sample I hurridly sent the wife to get another as my mouth had almost recovered and being a fan of food I...

50 CENT is back
Review of Massacre, The (+DVD) [PA] - 50 Cent by
interscope123
Advantages: Great satisfaction for any hip hop fan
Disadvantages: Not quite as good as his first album "Get Rich Or Die Trying"
...THE MASSACRE by 50 CENT is "fiddys" 2nd official album folowing up from "Get Rich Or Die Trying". This album is recommended for any hip hop fan, 50 Cents commercial beats prove to be very catchy and after a couple of listens you find yourself nodding your head to tunes that originally didnt stand out. It includes hit singles "Candy Shop" featuring Olivia, "Disco Inferno", "Outta Control" and a G-unit remix of "Hate It Or Love It" it also includes a tune called "Piggy Bank" which is 50 Cent taking shots at Fat Joe, Jadakiss and Nas which is very funny to any hip hop fan who apreciates a good rap battle. The album also includes the following artists: Eminem, Olivia, Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, Tony Yayo, The Game and Jamie Foxx. The executive producers are Dr.Dre, Eminem and 50 Cent.
TRACKLIST:
1- INTRO
2- IN MY HOOD
3-THIS IS 50...

The Massacre... 50's Decent Album?
Review of Massacre, The (+DVD) [PA] - 50 Cent by
bigdiship-hop
Advantages: Production is ill throughout; some GREAT songs
Disadvantages: Same repetitive cliches; weak lyrics
...Earlier this year, The Game's debut album The Documentary dropped and instantly became the first G-Unit album that was actually praised by the far-too-often critical underground community. The album was hot due to Game's impressive flow and a tremendous surplus of great beats. A lot of people were viewing this as a turn around for the G-Unit, who had already been established as a group with a consistent record of horrid music which brought nothing but pain to the ears. Many people thought "hey! 50 Cent has a hot verse!" or "wow... those beats are killer", and yeah, that was true, but I still refused to conform to the fact that G-Unit was going to continue their momentum. For you see, unlike Banks, Buck, and Yayo, 50 Cent, The Game actually has talent and hunger, and this alone made me question his good album; I saw it as nothing more...

RED HOT CHILLI
Review of Stagg Chilli, Classic Con Carne by
wardenblw431
Advantages: Cheap, quick and easy
Disadvantages: Umm. no can't think of any
...Gone are the days when I could enjoy a nice hour-long lunch at work. Instead I have to grab something to eat when I can. So on my recent shopping trip to Tesco I discovered Stagg Classic Chilli Con Carne. An ideal quick lunch.
Nobody else in the house likes this dish so it’s pointless me making it for myself and I really can’t be bothered making a large batch and freezing it, so this is the perfect compromise.
The tin didn’t really jump off the shelf at me. The packaging is fairly non-descript. Just a plain tin with Stagg written at the top in bright yellow letters and a picture of a plate of chilli underneath. What actually caught my eye was the BOGOF sticker on the shelf underneath, so I placed two tins in my trolley. A 410g costs £1.17 from Tesco so this was quite a good bargain.
Each tin can serve 2 people for a light...
