...dust was removed. I can only assume the two differences are down to the type of stain or the type of carpet. The carpet which didn't work is shortpile and quite thin compared to the one which worked very well. I can't really work out whether I like this product or not. It has definitely worked on one of my carpets and it was easier to use than sprays which take lots of effort to keep pumping the lever and then having to use a separate cloth to scrub into the carpet. It was however quite messy and not very easy to use for someone with small hands. I have given this product 3 stars as it has definitely done the job it said it would on one of the two carpets at least and I did prefer it to other brands I have used. ...I think that I and my family must have a problem! The dirt we generate must be SO much worse than anyone elses as all I can say about this product is - I found it a complete waste of money!! We've all seen the adverts - the boy has a greying school top with random stains on, one wash with Vanish Oxi Action Multi Fabric Stain Remover added to the machine and - like magic, the top is glowing white and stain free, just like new - I am convinced that that is because it is ruddy well new!!!!!! ...I guess I'm a bit odd when it comes to clothes. They can be full of holes, but I can't stand having stains on them. I like my whites to be brilliant white and my family wear a lot of white and pale colours. My partner frequently gets oil on his clothes and my daughter, who is 14 months old, gets anything and everything on her clothes.
