Hinari Slow Cooker Fits Our Lifestyle
Review of Hinari Lifestyle Slow Cooker SC350 by
Shroud
Advantages: can be left on all day, economical to run, easy to clean
Disadvantages: need to remember to put the food in hours before you eat
...For all you busy people out there or people who wish to save on your gas/electric bill and save on your food bill too, then this kitchen gadget is defintely for you. A slow cooker is an extremely low wattage appliance that can be safely left on all day (or night). How it works is you place your ingredients in the pot, add a bit of fluid such as water or broth, put on the lid, and switch on to your chosen setting. It gently cooks your food with steam. More about that later.
The Hinari Lifestyle slow cooker retails for about £39. It is stainless steel on the outside, with a vented smoked glass lid. The removable inner pot is earthenware (hence why in the USA they are called crockpots)and comes in black. The crock liner is extremely easy to clean as the steam cooking action keeps the food moist so it all just wipes off. Occasionally you...

Philips HD4666/20 Brushed Stainless Steel Kettle
Review of Philips HD4666/20 Stainless Steel by
findlesuk
Advantages: Great looking fast boiler & reasonable cost
Disadvantages: Noisy!
...Every 24 to 30 months I have to replace my kettle, why I know not but they only seem to last a month longer than the warranty! With this in mind one of my priorities is that I dont over spend knowing it will be replaced within 2 years or so.
Had to be brushed stainless steel to fit my decor & it makes it easier to keep looking new as opposed to shiny S/Steel!
Efficient in boiling & easy to refill & clean as I have teenagers who are reluctant to do any of these! Also a safety feature to prevent boiling dry a common mis-use by said teens.
Those were MY specs.......................my parents had just bought one of these & are usually good in their research & value for money , they did tell me it is noisy............I went ahead & bought one & am very pleased with its performance but as always parents are right & it is noisy! but I...

Poor quality stainless steel
Review of Franke Stainless Steel Sink CP652 by
zeeni
Advantages: Nice product if you dont use it
Disadvantages: Scratches badly
...After spending a considerable amount of money on a new kitchen (£15K) we purchased this sink thinking it would be a good investment, £400, and within a week the stainless steel scratched terribly. We consider the quality of this sink to be poor, and dont believe it should scratch so quickly. We wrote to Franke, who wrote back saying they couldnt even consider any complaint unless we filled in a complaint form, which would not necessarily get us any further.
We couldnt believe the attitude of these so called customer service people at Franke....

Slow Cooker...Right Up My Street
Review of Hinari Lifestyle Slow Cooker SC350 by
purebitch
Advantages: An easy way to cook,
Disadvantages: NONE
...stainless steel pot, at the back near the bottom.
*********************EASE OF USE*********************
This slow cooker is incredibly easy to use. I have already mentioned that I hate cooking. I also hate things that have to many settings. This slow cooker has three settings and I nearly always use it on Auto.
This means if I was to make a stew or caserole, all I have to do is put the meat in first, because it takes longer to cook. Then place the vegetables that I want on top of the meet. Not cutting them too thinly. Pour over hot gravy. Put the lid on, close the steam hole, and turn the dial to auto. Leave it, and return at tea time to serve.
If you do not want to cook something all day, you can use the high setting, to reduce the time. If you want to cook something all night long and into the next day, you use the low setting...

I couldnt cook cakes without it
Review of Creda CONCEPT C461 600mm Electric Cookers by
SleepyDormouse
Advantages: nice looking, fast heating hob and grill
Disadvantages: cleaning!
...I ordered this oven (C461E) shortly before moving into my first house. Previous to buying this oven I had used both electric and gas ovens, but I was more familiar with electric ovens so that is what I decided to get. I had some very firm ideas of what features I wanted. I definitely wanted a double oven, so I had enough room to cook lots of things at the same time, and a grill and hot plates that heated up fast would be a plus.
After quite a lot of consideration, with my husbands assistance, we decided on a creda oven, as we thought they were a reliable brand, and on this particular oven which had all the features I wanted plus a few extra.
Appearance
The C461E comes in four different colours; white with a silver trim, white with a gold trim, green with a gold trim and brown with a gold trim. I have chosen the white...

Stainless steel wonder!!!
Review of Indesit K344W(X)G NOT SELF SISO 00 by
Luckyfriend
Advantages: Real good looker in any kitchen!!!
Disadvantages: Too many to mention!!
...Thought I'd treat myself to a good looking, new cooker to tide me over until I have my kitchen knocked out and fully fitted. Yes, this cooker looks really good. Stainless steel. Easy to clean and keep clean! You could do your make-up in the reflective front oven door! Oven works really well, being a cake decorater, essential for a good cake! The inside oven light comes in very handy for the sponges aswell. Quite a big storage space for trays, pans, etc. underneath. That's really all the good points!!
The bad, well, I think it is a poor design on safety, especially with children in mind, (I know the kids arn't supposed to be in the kitchen), and for adults aswell!! I've had bad experiences with it aswell. Let me explain!!
There are two metal covers that the pans sit on over the burners. They have different widths in diameter which...

Come Fry With Me
Review of Cordon Bleu Stainless Steel Deep Fat Fryer by
LILL07
Advantages: Heats up quickly
Disadvantages: None
...Recently i seem to have had a bit of bad luck where it comes to my household appliances, first it was the cooker which i have had for 8 years it decided not to cook anymore, then the washing machine broke then my lovely other half decided he wanted fried chips instead of our normal oven chips and when he switched our deep fat fryer on it blew all the sockets in the house giving us no electric for a while.
So to say the least i have had a bit of an appliance nightmare but all would be saved by my lovely mum well chips would anyway she bought me a brand spanking new deep fat fryer.
I'm not the sort of person that is bothered if all my kitchen paraphernalia matches so when my mum walked in with a stainless steel deep fat fryer i was more then happy to except her gift.
The Deep fat fryer comes in quite a large standard box which...

stainless steel rake.
Review of Neverbend Stainless Garden Rake by
banco
Advantages: lighter to use, will last a lifetime if looked after well.
Disadvantages: none
...About 8 months ago we had a fire in our garden shed, we had been burning garden rubbish and thought that we had been very careful in dousing the fire.
We were wrong and the fire completely detroyed our garden shed, and all the tools that were in it,30 years of collecting old tools, things that you cant buy to-day.
We were devastated at our loss, but something good did come out of it,we decided to buy stainless steel tools, and a rake was part of our important buys.
I cant tell you what a great difference it has made to us, it is lighter to use,not so heavy on the wrists, the work seems to be lighter,it can be used for heavy work or light,I have a lot of clearing to do on a small allotment and the stainless steel rake is a must.
provided you clean the stainless steel when you have finished the garden work your steel tools should last...

Beko double electric cooker Model DCV6531S
Review of Beko DVC6631S Ceramic Double Oven Electric Cooker (silver) by
tigerthecat
Advantages: good quality, easy to use and inexpensive
Disadvantages: ceramic hob stays warm for quite a while after switch off.
...I bought this cooker 4 years ago now and have had no problems with it, it has been extremely reliable.
~Ceramic Hob~
The ceramic hob has four hot plates, these heat up very quickly so use less energy than traditional solid plates. The front left hotplate is an 1800w rapid plate, and the other three are rear left and front right at 1200 w and rear right is 1700w.
~Main Oven~
It has a large main oven that is fan assisted, which means more even cooking of food. It has a 53ltr capacity and has two removable shelves.
You get good even food cooking and it has a B rating for energy efficiency, this is not the best but not the worst as best is an A.
~Second Oven/ Grill~
The second oven has also got a B rating for energy efficiency. This also doubles as the grill. It is not fan assisted but is great for small items, thus...
