Advantages: Great looking fast boiler & reasonable cost
Disadvantages: Noisy!

...Every 24 to 30 months I have to replace my kettle, why I know not but they only seem to last a month longer than the warranty! With this in mind one of my priorities is that I dont over spend knowing it will be replaced within 2 years or so. Had to be brushed stainless steel to fit my decor & it makes it easier to keep looking new as opposed to shiny S/Steel! Efficient in boiling & easy to refill & clean as I have teenagers who are reluctant to do any of these! Also a safety feature to prevent boiling dry a common mis-use by said teens. ...After spending a considerable amount of money on a new kitchen (£15K) we purchased this sink thinking it would be a good investment, £400, and within a week the stainless steel scratched terribly. We consider the quality of this sink to be poor, and dont believe it should scratch so quickly. We wrote to Franke, who wrote back saying they couldnt even consider any complaint unless we filled in a complaint form, which would not necessarily get us any further. ...About 8 months ago we had a fire in our garden shed, we had been burning garden rubbish and thought that we had been very careful in dousing the fire. We were wrong and the fire completely detroyed our garden shed,and all the tools that were in it,30 years of collecting old tools,things that you cant buy to-day. We were devastated at our loss,but something good did come out of it,we decided to buy stainless steel tools, and a rake was part of our important buys. I cant tell you what a great difference it has made to us, it is lighter to use,not so heavy on the wrists,the work seems to be lighter,it can be used for heavy work or light,I have a lot of clearing to do on a small allotment and the stainless steel rake is a must. provided you clean the stainless steel when you have finished the garden work your steel tools should last... On the plus side it has a 3kw rapid boil which takes less than 30 seconds to boil 500ml perfect for a large cuppa like mine :o) The tri-lights are a great gadget giving a 3-stage illumination dependant on which function you choose to use: Standard boil - blue Keep warm/simmer – red Boil before simmer – purple The buttons that control these functions are clearly labelled, the one at the top operates the standard boil with a automatic shut off on boiling. ...Planning our new kitchen a couple of years ago we decided to go for an ultra modern look, choosing stainless steel as a splash back behind our hob and extractor hood (practical and easy to clean), and stainless steel appliances, kettle and toaster, I must say I was very pleased with the finished results. However keeping the sparkle to the stainless proved to be an absolute nightmare, If you wipe with a damp cloth the result is still gave unpleasant water marks, so I thought my prayers were answered when I found a Stainless Steel Cleaner by Astonish which promised excellent results , this was true of the kettle and toaster but again the splashback and hood left a little to be desired! ...I bought this product a while ago in an attempt to cure the marks on my stainless steel splash back , taps and sink . What I purchased was a clear hard plastic bottle which is quite heavy and hard . It has a blut top with a trigger action spray . My bottle contains 750 mls of Astonish liquid and I think it retailed at £1.99 . However it has lasted a long time as you only need to use a little . The silvery , shiny, label on the front tells me that my bottle had 50% free , so the normal size one will contain 500 mls . Looking at the label on the back I see it is made by the London Oil Refining Company Limited and there are e.mail and internet addresses where you can read more ingredient information etc . There are warnings about the products dangers to eyes and if swallowed . Also you need to rinse off your hands if contact occurs... Read review

This story follows Jim's escape from custody and pursuit of 'Captain Garth' aka Captain Zennor (I won't detail why Jim is pursuing him … if you have read "A Stainless Steel Rat is Born" then you already know - if you haven't then you should!). After accidentally being drafted into the Nevenkebla army Jim continues after Captain Zennor only to find himself in the vanguard of an invasion force... Read review

..., long life polished stainless steel, 1.7 litre capacity and level three safety protection. Well all that is very well and good but what is it like to live with? In a word: loud. Some kettles boil quietly but not this one. It drowns out everything else that is going on. This is fine if you have only put the kettle on during an ad break while watching your favourite TV show. But when you are trying to watch “Richard and Judy” while boiling up some water for the vegetables, pasta or whatever you are having for dinner, the sound is very annoying. When we first got the kettle the fast boil did indeed seem to be just that, fast. However as you grow used to things you start to take it for granted. It is like getting a new internet connection, for the first few weeks you really notice how fast it is and then it too seems to be slow... Read review

...Living on an estate and having no house number on view made my home quite difficult for people to find, especially at night after dark. I was looking around for a suitable house number when I spotted an advertisement for the Wetekom Stainless Steel Solar House Number. What I especially liked about this product was that it was very stylish in appearance (and because it is made of stainless steel it should stay smart) and the numbers were very clear and easy to read. It has the added bonus of a backlight which illuminates it after dark making it easy to read in the evenings and the backlight is powered by a little solar panel on the top so you don't need to do any wiring and the running costs are zero!
