Disadvantages: hard to clean hob, variable gas distribution, unbelievably heavy.

...but when both on at the same time, it performs badly at maintaining the temperature - if you are cooking on the hob at the same time, it's a nightmare as the small oven doesn't hit temperature... I have twice called out an engineer who stated that it is a design flaw. The shop stopped stocking them and stated it was for the same reason. It's basically very good IF you don't need to use all of it at the same time, this kind of defeats the object of having a range...... Read review

Advantages: Great looking fast boiler & reasonable cost

...Every 24 to 30 months I have to replace my kettle, why I know not but they only seem to last a month longer than the warranty! With this in mind one of my priorities is that I dont over spend knowing it will be replaced within 2 years or so. Had to be brushed stainless steel to fit my decor & it makes it easier to keep looking new as opposed to shiny S/Steel! Efficient in boiling & easy to refill & clean as I have teenagers who are reluctant to do any of these! Also a safety feature to prevent boiling dry a common mis-use by said teens. I also hate things that have to many settings. This slow cooker has three settings and I nearly always use it on Auto. This means if I was to make a stew or caserole, all I have to do is put the meat in first, because it takes longer to cook. Then place the vegetables that I want on top of the meet. Not cutting them too thinly. Pour over hot gravy. Put the lid on, close the steam hole, and turn the dial to auto. Leave it, and return at tea time to serve. If you do not want to cook something all day, you can use the high setting, to reduce the time. If you want to cook something all night long and into the next day, you use the low setting... Disadvantages: Bottom Drawer snaps, Timer reverts to clock even when on timer

...to it being secure enough to stay shut without clips, clunks or whatever to potentially fail. The bottom drawer facility has a similar mechanism to the oven door, because of its size and the leverage available, I would say it the door is a little too stiff and a moderate tendency to snap shut, perhaps its only downfall. The exterior is made of stainless steel, murder to get it spotless without fingerprints, but the style and durability of the steel offsets this pitfall. The Hob The hob is a five burner hob, 1 x 1kW for simmering on the front right, 2 x 1.75kW normal cooking, 1 x 3kW rapid which always gets turned to its minimum setting unless you have a cauldron handy and the big’un in the middle 3.5kW which I use my only cauldron on. ...About 8 months ago we had a fire in our garden shed, we had been burning garden rubbish and thought that we had been very careful in dousing the fire. We were wrong and the fire completely detroyed our garden shed,and all the tools that were in it,30 years of collecting old tools,things that you cant buy to-day. ...I have just had my kitchen refurbished and I was looking for something with a modern stainless steel finish that would also be practical enough for me to cope with feeding a family of 5 or sometimes more. Having looked at many different brands and styles of range cookers (stainless Steel in particular) I felt that most of them would have looked better placed in a School Kitchen or at the back of a fast food outlet. They all looked "too industrial" or just felt and looked far too flimsy. I felt that this particular model was extremely robust and sturdy in comparison to others I had seen.
