...Stanley Park - The place to relax in the busy Resort. Stanley Park is by far the best park in Blackpool. In fact as far as I'm aware it is the "only" park in Blackpool. I first went to Stanley Park as a very young child when we visited relatives nearby. We went to the play area off West Park Drive and I remember going on the playground rides and particularly the small slide. At that time I was an only child, but this soon changed and we regularly went back to the same play area with my younger brother in following years. The play area is on the edge of the park and easily accessible for all including those with wheelchairs and pushchairs. In terms of Blackpool, Stanley Park is about a mile inland from the Promenade. In June 2006 I took out a credit card with Morgan Stanley with a deal of 2% cash back for 6 months which would then revert to 1%. When it arrived I started using it and everything was fine. After the second month I noticed that the cash back hadn't been applied properly as only 1% had been applied. When I contacted them I was told not to worry as they were aware there was a problem but it would be sorted out by my anniversary date at the latest. Satisfied, I continued using the card. When I used it to purchase a wardrobe I received a call one minute after walking out the store. ...Since moving to Aberdeen a few years ago, I have many times visited if not just passing through, the Duthie Park. It is a place all the locals have been to at least once, and is a strong attraction for visitors to Granite City! It is somewhere I would spend a lot of time during the holidays, wandering around with friends and generally having fun. I suppose I should feel so lucky to have such a wonder right on my door step! The Duthie Park is situated just off of Garthdee in the city of Aberdeen, Scotland. Surrounding the park there are various main roads, with an Asda, a B&Q, and a ski slope near by, not forgetting the university campus too. Thorpe Park is well sign posted from the M25 onwards so finding the park is relatively easy. Thorpe Park is situated between junctions 11 and 13 of the M25 but access from Junction 12 is not possible from the M25. TICKET PRICES We paid £28.50 each for an adult entrance ticket to the park. If you book online you can make a saving of £5.50. Thorpe Park gives you the option of getting something called a Fast Track ticket, which basically means that you get to jump the queue on the main rides.
