...There is no possible way that anybody reading this review has not at least heard of Star Wars. If you haven?t seen any of the six movies, then fair enough. I can comprehend that. But if you try to claim that you don?t even recognise the name, then I simply don?t believe you. Because Star Wars is one of, if not the, biggest movie franchise of all time. It is global phenomenon really, spawning not only the aforementioned six movies, but also swaths of memorabilia, books, toys, computer games and so on. Clone Wars Gunship (Hasbro)

Advantages: Strong, well designed, colourful and packed with features. Great Star Wars toy.
Disadvantages: Sadly, it comes without action figures (which you will need to buy separately).

Star Wars: Attack of the Clones

Advantages: A solid Star Wars score with an absolutely fantastic new theme
Disadvantages: Muddy recording quality and a little less exciting action for a Star Wars score

Obi Wan Kenobi ... hero of the Clone Wars !!!

Advantages: Great design, well made and lots of accessories.
Disadvantages: Costly ... you don't get much change from a tenner these days when buying an action

A War Too Far?

...For some reason my boys have turned into massive Star Wars fans, maybe something to do with their Dad being a massive fan and him showing them all of his figures (toys are I call them!) so inevitably they were really excited about watching the new film. Me and my hubby did watch this on our own first so we could watch it in peace with out all the ?look mom?, ?look Dad? and ?cool!? and then we all sat down again and watched it together. I have to say I was quite surprised by it. The film starts with Anakin and Obi -Wan battling against a droid Army and Anakin receiving a shock in the form of a young girl who is to become his Padawan (the Girl he has to train in the art of the Jedi ). The Clone Wars, Begun They Have!!!

Advantages: Good animation and action sequences, terrific music
Disadvantages: So-so extras, lack of plot coherency

...Star Wars: Clone Wars is an animated feature designed to bridge the gap between the films Episode II (Attack of the Clones) and Episode III (Revenge of the Sith). It comes in 2 volumes, this obviously being the first. The first volume was originally designed to be a series of 3 minute commercials but ended up being combined to an approximately 1 hour long feature. The animation style is something approaching anime (I know nothing about anime but the director says in one the "Making Of" featurette that they aimed for a similar but not identical style.) Traditional 2D animation is used except for the ships themselves, which are computer animated. The action comes in thick and fast, with the eye candy factor quite dazzling at times. ...I will try and keep this review as un-bias as possible, however I do have to admit that I am a bit of a Star Wars fan! Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones is the sequel to Episode I: The Phantom Menace, it begins around 10 years after the first instalment of this prequel trilogy and in many ways it is a huge improvement. This time around the story is aimed at the frustrated love between an older Anakin Skywalker and the now senator Padme Amidala, while the rest of the film revolves around this plot, the remainer of the film seems to be the more interesting with twists and turns and some great action scenes. Star Wars Clone Wars Animated Series Vol.1

Advantages: Great character design. Interesting Stories

...This is the first series of the Clone Wars cartoon series which fills in some of the gap between the second and thirds episodes of the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. There is a lot to enjoy here. I love the animation style used here which is very stylised and full of energy. The series is produced by Genndy Tartakovsky, the creator of Samurai Jack, and the look and design of Clone Wars owes a lot to that series.
