Toys & Games:Action Figures:StarWars:Modern:Other Modern StarWars
Postage & Packaging: £6.00 Availability: available
Advantages: The size, scale and sheer attention to detail is simply "outstanding". Disadvantages: The price ... at around £350 it's possibly the most expensive Star Wars Lego Set out there !!!
... INTRODUCTION
The largest and possibly most amazing LEGO StarWars set EVER has arrived !!!
That's right, the largest LEGO StarWars Set ever ... and with over 5000 pieces and an instruction manual that makes an Argos Catalogue look like a "quick read" the Ultimate Collector's Millennium Falcon is simply "AWESOME" !!!
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Millennium Falcon has become the stuff of legend and is one of the most well known spaceships in movie history. Which is kind of strange when you think that the modified Corellian Engineering Corporation YT-1300 freighter was first described as being "junk" by Luke Skywalker !!! Infact Han Solo's infamous spaceship may have been the fastest ship in the Galaxy but it wasn't exactly the most reliable either (can you remember how many times it broke down in the movies...
Advantages: Good representation of the tv series, kids will find some enjoyment in it Disadvantages: Repetitive gameplay, loose controls, generally very rough around the edges
..., and your bundle of joy wants this game specifically because they enjoy the CloneWars television series, then this might just be worth buying. As I have mentioned, there is some small amount of enjoyment that can be gleamed from this, and I think there is a good chance that a younger player can find that enjoyment more readily than an adult can. And indeed any kid that does enjoy this game may well be occupied by it for a while, which ultimately would make it a worthwhile purchase.
If, however, you are looking for a StarWars game for your son/daughter that doesn?t have to be linked to the television series, then I would strongly advise you to avoid this and pick up any of the Lego StarWars games instead. They work on the same premise, but are significantly better. In fact, they are truly great games with genuine humour and swathes...
Advantages: A solid Star Wars score with an absolutely fantastic new theme Disadvantages: Muddy recording quality and a little less exciting action for a Star Wars score
...Now that the StarWars prequel saga has reached its Third and final episode I think its time I handled the remaining Episodes in my soundtrack evaluations, handling Episode II first. With The Phantom Menace proving to be a big disappointment for audiences due to its weak story, incredibly irritating and silly characters, and the over-reliance on CGI, there was much less expectation and trepidation for Attack of the Clones. With Anakin Skywalker now grown up he is assigned along with his mentor Obi-Wan Kenobi to protect Princess Padmé Amidala who has recently become a senator and whose life is now being threatened. This then leads to a forbidden romance between Anakin and Padmé, the consequences proving to be far-reaching as we all know. And furthering the rise of the Galactic Empire is the Trade Federation's creation of an army...
Advantages: Great Special Effects, Great Sound Track, Hours of Bonus Material Disadvantages: Story Could Have Been Stronger, Hayden Christensen
...I will try and keep this review as un-bias as possible, however I do have to admit that I am a bit of a StarWars fan!
StarWars Episode II: Attack of the Clones is the sequel to Episode I: The Phantom Menace, it begins around 10 years after the first instalment of this prequel trilogy and in many ways it is a huge improvement. This time around the story is aimed at the frustrated love between an older Anakin Skywalker and the now senator Padme Amidala, while the rest of the film revolves around this plot, the remainer of the film seems to be the more interesting with twists and turns and some great action scenes.
The majority of the actors deliver a great performance, McGregor continues in his role as Obi Wan Kenobi and is as great as ever, Portman again plays Amidala, however this time is not irritating in the slightest (apposed...
Advantages: Brilliant film. Disadvantages: Hayden Christensen
...And a review of some film as well....
I would have preferred it if George Lucas could have just used a Muppet for the part of Anakin instead of actually paying Hayden Christensen for ruining his movie, or at least trying to. The reason i gave it Five stars is solely because of Yoda and the end battle, as far as i was concerned twenty minutes of Light Sabre fights easily make up for a shoddy first half and wooden performances. In terms of acting StarWars Episode 2: Attack Of The Clones was dire, but i wasn't there to rate performances, i was there to see Yoda fight.
Whilst i loved the overall product it was full of irritating moments that caused me to be disappointed in parts but thrilled in general. Only from Christopher Lee and Samuel L Jackson were there any signs of life or real talent, wheras everyone else kept their hands...

Review of StarWars: Episode II - Attack Of The Clones (Wide Screen) (Two Discs) (Sell Through) (DVD)
Advantages: Great character design. Interesting Stories Disadvantages: A bit short.
...This is the first series of the CloneWars cartoon series which fills in some of the gap between the second and thirds episodes of the StarWars Prequel Trilogy, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith.
There is a lot to enjoy here. I love the animation style used here which is very stylised and full of energy. The series is produced by Genndy Tartakovsky, the creator of Samurai Jack, and the look and design of CloneWars owes a lot to that series. All the main characters from the Prequels return in animated form along with a few new characters such as the evil Sith Apprentice Asij Vantress. With the exception of C-3PO (Anthony Daniels) the voices are done by a cast of experienced voice actors and they do a great job, although there is noticably little dialogue in this first series.
The series itself was originally broadcast...
Advantages: Good story and action Disadvantages: none
...Attack of the Clones is the second film in the prequel trilogy of StarWars films written and directed by George Lucas. The film was released in 2002.
This film follows on from The Phantom Menace, 10 years later. There threat of civil war looms over the galaxy. Count Dooku (Christopher Lee) a renegade Jedi, leads a group who want to break away from the Republic. Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) and his apprentice Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) are assigned to protect and investigate after Senator Padme Amidala (Natalie Portman) survives an assassination attempt.
The galaxy is on the brink of change and a CloneWar imminent, as Obi-Wan and Anakin learn more about the hidden threat that threatens to destroy the Republic. The shadowy figure of Darth Sidious is looming in the background and his ultimate plan is not yet clear...
Advantages: Great design, well made and lots of accessories. Disadvantages: Costly ... you don't get much change from a tenner these days when buying an action
... ~ Background Information ~
The new StarWars Animated CloneWars Movie (and TV Series) has added yet more great storylines, locations, characters and vehicles to the ever-expanding StarWars Universe. It has also introduced a whole new generation of younger fans to that Galaxy far, far away .....
~ Hasbro Toys ~
Hasbro has been producing a wide range of StarWars products for many years [from kids toys to adult collectables] and they have pulled out all the stops for the Animated CloneWars range. Everything from the simple [but effective] packaging design to the quality of the toys themselves has been exremely well thought out and in my opinion the CloneWars toys are some of Hasbro's finest to date.
The characters in the traditional 3.75" range look awesome ... and Obi Wan Kenobi is a fine example...
Advantages: Strong, well designed, colourful and packed with features. Great Star Wars toy. Disadvantages: Sadly, it comes without action figures (which you will need to buy separately).
...StarWars Toys have been around for 30 years and they just keep getting better and better. Following this year's cinema release of the CloneWars Movie this is a perfect toy for any StarWars fan !!!
This toy was originally released as an Attack of The Clones "Republic Gunship" in 2002. Back then is was mostly grey with very little detail. Now redesigned by Hasbro as the "CloneWars Gunship" this is a massive improvement and one that has been welcomed by fans.
The CloneWar Gunship has been given a very effective customized look and is packed with special features for added play value. The cockpit can fit 2 Clone Pilots, the side panels slide open and the inner landing platform detaches to deploy Clone Troopers into battle. There are also a number of firing weapons, missiles and bombs.
This is simply a great toy ... ideal to...
Advantages: Great animation, good story Disadvantages: Just feel it has gone too far
...StarWars franchise too far.
On a final note I would like to say a sarcastic Thank you to StarWars as now I have to sit through the CloneWars cartoon series which is on every Saturday morning at 10am on Cartoon Network, Oh Joy!...
