Advantages: complex combo moves, decent graphics for ps2, enjoyable, large range of characters to choose from
Disadvantages: some levels are too short

...Probably the best star wars game made - it beats the lego ones on the PS2 by miles! Once you star playing this game you won't be able to stop i can garantee it. Brilliant game with a large range of different characters to choose from, from General Grevis to Obi Wan Kenobi. The game play isn't as straight forward as you would expect with a sword fight themed game, there are many combo moves that can be done which make the game even more like the film. There are also small snippets of the film in some of the levels after you complete them. IF you choose not to take part in the missions, then there is always the multi player mode to play with your friends which is also very addictive! The only bad thing i can think of is that some of the levels are too short and way too easy, but the levels later on in the game deffinately make up... Read review

...So, what began a long time ago in 1977 has now come full circle to climax not very far away from a DVD player near you. Now that the Matrix has disapeared up its own backside and The Lord Of The Rings has gone to the Grey Havens, it was the third (or sixth, depending on your point of view) of George Lucas' space opera that was left to fill the void and it does so quite nicely. With the Republic teetering on the brink of collapse, this takes up the story after the Clone Wars that begun and the end of Episode II has been largely fought with Chancellor Palpatine having been captured and thus, needing rescued. Enter the Jedi. Obi-Wan and Annakin set things ablaze from frame one in a startling space battle reminisent of the climactic fracas from Return Of The Jedi. ...Star wars episode 1 is properly one of the best Star wars games iv'e ever played. The first time i played it i played it and turned it off whithin about 5 minuits of playing it. But a couple of days later i turned it back on and sat there and played it and i thoght to myself this isn't bad at all but the bosses on levels can be a bit crappy and easy. The gameplay is alright and the graphics are a bit rusty around the edges and the sound is a bit bad but it has its advantages and they are: The freedom of movement the levels are fully exploreable so you can go anywhere you want to go. The way you can pick on anybody you like you can pick on market stall owners dkids that run past and animals in the desert you can even bust up the little anoying droids that follo
