Starcraft a real craft of art.

Advantages: Great storyline, top graphics and effects, brilliant gameplay
Disadvantages: bit old but not bad in any way, possibly hard to get hold of

...I got Starcraft a long time ago, played it and then for some reason left it before i completed it. I have recently found it on my shelf and thought to myself: "What the hell, I remember this game being something like starship troopers hmmm sounds cool lets play!" And that thought is true the game acts like the film starship troopers. Their are 3 races, human marines, zerg aliens and protosss advanced humanoids. Each race has a different difficulty level in the single player missions. The races also have totally different units, buildings and playing strategies and tactics. The marines are the easiest to start off with, the zerg are next difficult and then the protoss being the hardest. The story lines for each are very involving and do not look cocked up when you play the game, each race has a main enemy and encounters there own...

...Starcraft is still one of the most popular games online. It offers 3 highly distinct races and possibly the most involving stories yet seen in real time strategy gaming. It may look a bit old nowadays (with the 640x480 resolutions) but on the other hand it will run like a dream if you're still hanging on to your old P90 system. STARCRAFT a real contender for the R.T.S crown

Advantages: first game i think to use rally points for building such as barracks n' factorys
Disadvantages: no replenashing money supply

...I bought starcraft and was astounded by the wealth of diferent buildings and weapons the game had to offer,not to mention the wide variety of different ways youcan play multiplay. One nice feature i think is the inclusion of the SPAWN feature which lets you play with a friend on a LAN or NULL MODEM connection with only one cd. In the game you have the choice of three races the Terran,Zerg, and Protoss. The terran of course is the first set of campaign missions to do butr you can start on any one of the three, the cut scenes in the game are second to none and are well worth watching. A Brilliant Sci-fi Strategy Game

...limited so strongest unit is not always suitable, you will run out of Mineral and Gas so fast. After you finish the campaign ,or you feel a bit bored playing it or because of its difficulty, you can change to play some custom game with computer(skirmishes) or see replay of the match that you have played, I'm sure they will have you a lot to improve your skill. One more thing is that the maps you play can be downloadde from Internet(www.starcraft.org) or you can create it yourself. In Multiplayer mode, you can play on Blizzard's Battle.net meeting other gamers from all around the world just through very few second of registration right inside the game.You can also play through your LAN or UDP, IPX,.... sure you'll have fun. Best of its genre

Advantages: Different races offering different play styles, brilliant real-time strategy game, graphics are still good despite its age.
Disadvantages: Some people may be put off by its age, but you shouldn't be.

One of the greatest strengths of the game is it's single player campaigns, the storyline is extremely enthralling and you will want to play the game from start to finish just to find out what happens. Other than this, the missions are also interesting and fun to play, and certain characters from them will stick in the mind for a long time afterwards. Unlike many other games where each race only has a few differences, the difference between each on starcraft is immense. Other than the obvious visual look (Terrans are mechanical, Protoss technological and Zerg organic), each race has completely different units and strategies that can be employed. Many things are different, from how unit limits are determined to how construction takes place. I will outline many of the differences below (though you'll probably want to look somewhere else to...
