After placing my order I received my kit in 3 days delivered by courier, which is ok and was packaged well with contents securely held in place and protected. ...I bought this guitar on line from a dealer in America, where it was for sale at the cheapest price of $79.95, they wouldn't ship to the UK but, as luck would have it, My cousin was due to visit from Louisiana so after a quick email I arranged for it to be shipped to her. For the price I wasn't expecting a great deal, so I was very pleased when I received it to find that the Basswood body was beautifully finished. Having read some reviews I had decided that I would need to do a lot of prep on the body and had bought sandpaper, primer, paint and polish, all of which was not used. Assembly was pretty straightforward, the neck fits to the body with a metal plate and four screws, the pickups fit into the pre-routed body cavities and the scratch plate covers all the wiring. ...This bit of kit works pretty well, I've used it a great deal on my g/f's Ipod and in the car. It allows you to charge your Ipod from the car's cigarrette lighter,which is a great idea. I have found this to be especially useful when you go for a drive somewhere and want to have a fully charged player when you step out of the car.At the same time it allows you to connect other accessoried such as the cassete adapter, I think Belkin makes this as well - you plug that into the the adapter and then into your normal car stereo through the 'cassete' and it plays out through your car stereo..nifty eh?!! No need for a line in connection. It has has a 3.5mm headphone jack on it so that you can attach the cassete adapter too, and allows you to adjust the volume of the amplification! I play on my Xbox 360 for very long periods at a time and was getting increasingly infuriated at having to keep recharging my batteries so that I could keep using my wireless controller. The Microsoft Official Xbox 360 Play and Charge Kit fits snuggly onto the wireless controller. It has a nice long lead that connects to the console via USB. If being restricted by the wire is not your thing seeing as you have wireless controller what you can do is connect the Microsoft Official Xbox 360 Play and Charge Kit to your controller and console then turn your console off. The console goes into a sort of standby mode until the controller is fully charged when it switches itself off completly. However, if you have not already read the first book, "The Mermaids Singing", do not let that put you off reading this book ahead of time. "Wire in the Blood" is a fantastic book which can be read as a stand-alone. Even though I found it useful reading the books in chronological order, there is enough background information in "Wire in the Blood" to let you understand the key factors of the main characters (Dr. Tony Hill - a psychologist and Home Office Profiler and Detective Inspector Carol Jordan). ...BARB WIRE is based on a comic book of the same name published by Dark Horse Comics. It stars Pamela Anderson as Barbara (the ‘Barb Wire’ of the title), a biker babe who owns a nightclub in the only neutral city left during the second American Civil War. The film is really just an excuse for Anderson to show off her body, and what a phenomenal body it is. There was a lot of talk in the media about how her ‘assets’ were surgically enhanced (and they have apparently since been surgically ‘de-hanced’) and this film is really just an excuse for her to show how her money was spent. As a film, it’s not good (it has pretensions to be CASABLANCA but there is no talent either in front of or behind the camera to justify this), but for voyeuristic young men everywhere it’s a delight... ...I was a little apprehensive about The Wire, all of the reviews I have read in the press seem to rate it very highly, as did my friends in the USA who have had 3 seasons to enjoy. = The Plot = The Wire is set in Baltimore, Maryland on the East Coast of the USA and is basically a cop show, with a difference. I hadn't realized this was in fact the second of the series written, the first being The Mermaids Sing, but it still stood alone in its own right very well indeed. The storyline is well woven. Carol Jordan, a DCI (Detective Chief Inspector) is in the small community of Seaford, having recently been promoted. She is certain there is a serial arsonist on the loose, but the team she works with aren't convinced. Tony Hill is heading off to a new training facility to do with National Offenders Profiling.
