Getting the 'Write' start!

...My four and a half year old daughter is just at that age where she is starting to be fascinated by writing. She can now write her own name and a few important words like 'mummy' and 'daddy'! Most of all though, she just loves to 'write' her own stories which can go on for pages and pages. For people who don't know any better, they might just think these are just squiggles on the page but don't be fooled for a minute! As far as my daughter is concerned this is real writing! For Christmas she was given a writestart kit which is actually going to help her with the mechanics of writing and should hopefully help her a lot when she starts school after Easter. Start and never stop!!

Advantages: Delicious and stays crunchy.
Disadvantages: Can't seem to stick to the recommended 30g serving!

...Seeing this on offer in Asda on my weekly shop I threw it into the trolley with no hesitation, firstly of course due to the reduced price, but secondly due to me loving this when I was a child! The product I will now review is - ?Kellogg?s multigrain Start cereal? This product is currently aimed at people who the product states as ?active people?, but if memory serves me well, this was advertised as a sports cereal when I was a child, though it is still the same delicious and wheat tasting cereal from youth, albeit smaller, although I can?t be sure if they have shrunk or I it is because I have grown! The cereal comes in the standard box with all the relevant information, with the afore mentioned slogan emblazoned across the front, yes I am active, though not so much by the time I eat my bowl of cereal, usually at suppertime...

...While I am waiting for the new products I have requested to be added to ciao I am tidying up my stationery draw and I shall tell you about the treasure in there. I have an assortment of colouring crayons some from stART. These crayons in my draw are a couple of years old, I am not sure where I got them from but it would have been in the high street. However you can buy them on line. Amazon are selling them from £5.65. These colouring pencils are available in a 24 pack, these are in a blue card package which has colourful butterflies printed on it. These colouring pencils are long thin ones about 18cm long by/2 a cm in diameter. These pencil crayons have a hexagonal barrel this is a natural colour with England start colouring and a number printed on it. ... KELLOGG'S MULTI-GRAIN START Breakfast Chez Oldchem is a strange meal!! One day my 13 year-old son will eat anything that's not nailed down, another it takes me all my time to force a drink down his mouth. Depending on the day and what visitors I have our breakfasts tend to range from fry ups, bacon buttie, boiled eggs etc but there is always cereal available. Cereal shopping the Oldchem way is another strange event. A new start.

Disadvantages: Getting to know my new surroundings.

...As most of you are aware, I have moved into a rural village on the outskirts of Cambridge. I had to move from my previous home, as My mother died early Jan this year, and had fallen Ill in my home, though passed in hospital. Every room I entered in my previous home reminded me of my Mum. I know she was worth a thought, many in fact, but pleasant ones. I would walk into my kitchen and see mum there making a cuppa. I would walk into the bedroom and see mum having a sneaky spray of my perfume. The bathroom where her scent lingured. Nice thoughts I know. But whenever I sat in the living room I saw visions of my mum having her stroke. I couldn't relax and watch tv. I couldn't look at her photo's, I needed to break away and find comfort. Here I have found tranquil comfort. I have written this poem in honour of my new start in life...

Head start bread

...Being a bit of a bargain hunter I always snap up any deals when I come across them, whilst doing my weekly shop I found this Kingsmill head start bread with Omega 3. As you may know I have a dodgy ticker and would like to look after it as best I can so I bought this bread for 59p a loaf, what a bargain, I'm not sure what the real price will be. Packaging The bread comes in a purple bag with the Kingsmill logo on the side, top and bottom, it has Head start in big yellow writing just underneath and Omega 3 in light blue under that. There is a little yellow tag with the best before date on which you peel apart to get into your bread. Smell Once opened you can smell the bread straight away, it doesn't smell like lovely freshly baked bread, but I would say it smells better than some other pre sliced stuff. I can't really...

A good place to start

Advantages: Good starting point, provides feedback on exercises and good for monitoring your progress
Disadvantages: Inability to link exercises together to build up a routine and might get too easy over time.

...I bought Wii fit to improve my balance and core strength. I find the muscle excercises and yoga do this quite well. This isn't an 'easy' option for getting fit/slim at home. You will have to work at it and use it regularly to see any benifits, just like any other form of exercise. However it is quite useful when it comes to monitoring your progress. You start off by inputting your personal detail such as gender, height and age, these are used in the software to monitor your BMI and your Wii fit age. You can do a body test every day which will weigh you whilst monitoring your balance for a few seconds. You will then be told your BMI and have the option of viewing your weight, a handy feature if you have family members around and you don't wish for them to know your weight. You can then do two random balance games which will then lead...
