...I bought this steamer mop about 6 months ago . I have mostly hard floors in my house, 1 very large boisterous dog and 2 mucky kids so I hate having to mop the floors. I thought i would try a simple steam mop, I didn't want anything to flash or a multi talented steam appliance, I just wanted a better faster easier alternative to string mops and soggy floors. The Home tek mop was a cheaper option than most of the other similar steam products It looked simple and straight forward but to be honest I didn't have a whole lot in faith in it becoming like a best friend. ...Saw a similar but more expensive product advertised elsewhere so since we have a lot of wood flooring we bought this model recently to give it a try. You know what its like - you see an advert and it looks brilliant but when you try it, it is not quite as good. That is NOT the case with this little beauty. To be honest, only my wife has used it so far but she is over the moon with its cleaning abilities. It does not leave the floor soaking wet as with a normal mop and bucket and so the job is done in less than half the time. It is also good just using good old plain water without chemicals - ideal if you have babies or toddlers. It is also extremely compact for storage and easy to operate. We bought ours off a third party seller on Amazon - only drawback was the high postage but beats driving around the shops.... Read review

...bought recently from thane direct. likes - very sleek design, very handy to use,user friendlt, not bulky at all, sturdy works amazing onthe wooden floor gives shine steam cleans the floor very nicey. good use of steam to remove the spillage from the wooden floor especially when u have children. Dislikes - not very useful on the carpets so far, does not remove your stain, does remove the more recent pressure areas but old areas due to weights will persist and will not disappear. i was a bit disappointed looking at how it works on the carpets. overall I recommend if you have small children as steam kills carpets mites which normally persists after standard vaccumm but would not recommend if you are purchasing for stain removals on carpets... But these American shows have now spawned a new genre of made for the UK infomercials. They are basically the same as the American ones - solving problems which you never knew you had - but in a more 'toned down' manner. One of these that particularly caught my eye was half hour programme demonstrating the new miracle steam mop which cleans ceramic and laminate floors without mess or marks. ...I have Solid wooden floors in two downstairs rooms and laminate flooring in another two. With three kids (12, 10, 3) and me being a little clumsy I seemed to be constantly mopping up crayon, sauce, tea stains etc. I have neck and shoulder problems and find using a mop which requires wringing and elbowgrease very difficult. ...have about 50 minutes worth of steam. I managed to clean our sofa, a rug, some stains off the carpet and the kitchen floor without running out. Use is fairly simple. You attach whatever accessory piece you need and just pull the trigger to get steam. The trigger has a childproof lock to prevent your child from using it when your back is turned. I wouldn't recommend using this cleaner with a child around just for safety reasons as it does jet steam out quite a distance. So far I have used this to clean our leather sofa, I didn't even remember what colour it was. You use the small 2in1 adaptor with a cotton cloth. The sofa did get quite wet though and I had to use a towel to mop off all the dirty water as the cloth couldn't get all of it. However, the sofa now looks as good as new. ...Over the years I have tried a variety of mops, cloth mops; string mops; sponge mops... in fact you can bet your bottom dollar that if a mop has been invented then muggings here has tried it. I have two kids, two dogs and one husband. My kitchen floor is tiled so needs to be mopped regularly, especially in the winter when the dogs like nothing better then to tramp in with muddy feet. I therefore need a mop that can live up to the challenge. I have found that with most mops if you use them regularly they fall to bits or discolour or even worse smell and no matter how much you clean them they never look very nice. ...I had a basic mop you know the ones with all like the string heads and after a while of use it was just not good enough as it took the floor too long to dry and plus the mop smelt a bit yucky. I was at my local Kwik Save and came across the Dettol easy mop i had a quick read of the box and it seemed easy to use. I was a bit hesitant at the price of £14.99 but decided to give it a go. I got the mop home and couldn't wait to use it, it had simple to follow instructions. You had to connect the poles together to make the mop. Then you inserted the bottle of Dettol cleaner supplied into the mops base which opened up to reveal a slot where the cleaner slotted in.
