...I have liked the stereo Mc's for about a decade and had the album, but unfortunately due to my constant moving it got mislaid or lent out and forgotten. Anyhow I was recently asked if I would like a new album, after much deliberation I choose Connected. ***Band Members*** Rob, The Head, Owen If, Cath Coffey, Verona Davis and Andrea Groves. ***Front sleeve and inlay*** The front cover depicts the 6 band members on a stary, stormy night with the moon shining brightly behind them, with the earth looking like it should be the moon. Advantages: Great Value for money, Solidly built,
Disadvantages: battery access is a bit fiddly

...Oh my God, I here you say, not another effects pedal review. Don't worry, there's only one more to go in my collection. As with the other pedals this one has a solid plastic moulding with a slightly awkward to open battery compartment, accessed by pushing in the pedal hinge pins and lifting it off. Much better to use an external power supply, it saves money and broken fingernails. So what does a Chorus pedal do? Well it sits in the line between the guitar and amplifier and alters the signal. Basically it is a modulating effect which adds a slight highlight and a lowlight, to create a softened, even slightly ethereal tone to the sound. ...The Labtec® 242 is an affordable, yet extremely effective headset. My Experience For computer novices like myself it's easy to use, lightweight (but not flimsy), comfortable and efficient. Buying (inexpensive) headsets is a tricky business; many are delicate and frail, susceptible to background noise or cramped and uncomfortable. Not this one - not in my experience, at least. Positives Foamed headphones and an adjustable headband mean you'll barely notice it, which, in my experience, is a good thing. You get good stereo output; only a bad thing when you miss being called for dinner or the phone ringing! ...Sony Stereo - MEX-BT2600 This is the upgrade to the MEX-BT2500 which was a very popular stereo and still is. This new model is a cool looking stereo from the quality and trusted brand Sony, it is stylish to look at both when turned off and on. After always having Sony stereos when this new one came out we decided we'd get if for our Renault Laguna, the old one had worked with the steering wheel controls but unfortunately this one doesn't as you have to buy a separate cable to connect it up to your steering wheel controls. ...Bands are usually either known for one song or for a whole lot of songs, but the Stereo MC's are known for two - Connected, and Step It Up. They are both great tracks, but I don't know why I like them so much. They aren't very 'strong' in terms of other forms of hip-hop, in fact they are a little poncy, but they are just so damn chilling, you can really groove to them. But the MC's aren't just two-hit wonders - the rest of the album is good stuff too. It's all in the same vein, but all original. If you know what I mean. And the best news of all is that the recent compilation they made in the DJ Kicks series would suggest that their next, forthcoming album is going to be a little hardy and a little more rappy. Which I think would be a good direction for the band, as although this music is great, it doesn't really fit into today's musical...
