Advantages: Space Saving Ideas for Home and Abroad

...I love this idea, whoever thought this up is a genius. A lot of families have storage problems my main pain in the backside is lack of room for excess bedding that i keep spare for guests and what not, So this is magnificent, how the air can be sucked out of the bag with any pipe vacuum cleaner and reduce the size of package to less than a quarter of the size. Brilliant for duvets and pillows i might add and to top it all off it keeps all those bugs away and when you do unpack them they smell as good as the day you washed them and put the items in there. Excellent I would rate these to anybody you can even use them for going abroad and storing your much loved items and reducing space which we all know must happen when traveling on a plane think of the goodies you can bring back !! Storage For The Masses

Advantages: A decent capacity, pretty cheap, vertically mounted
Disadvantages: Not really all that portable, can be a bit noisy for a bedroom, it's grey!

..., there was a total refusal to write to it. So, do I recommend it? In a word - Yes! Whether it's for an extension of your current storage capabilities or as a back-up device it definitely does the job. If you're looking for a slim and sleek portable device then I can't recommend it, but as part of a stationary computer set-up then I definitely can. Oh, and it's also finally got my various files organised :)...

...I had decided to buy some of those vacum storage bags from the tv shopping channels. You know the ones i mean out all your spare bedding, clothes, towels soft toys ect in the bags suck all the air out and they store in a lot less room and are safe! The only problem was that they were quite expensive especially when you add the postage costs in to the price, so when my betterware catalogue was delivered a few weeks ago and I noticed they had started make these vacum bags I got very excited and ordered 3 packs. Betterware bags ****************** Each pack has 3 bags in it 1 large (55 x 85 cm) and 2 jumbo (60 x 105cm) Each pack cost £13.99. These are different to the bag on tv and I have to say different isn't better! They are quite a thick plastic which feels very sturdy, the problem though is with the sealing system or not...

Maxtor the ideal storage system, simple to use.

...I bought this storage device as a backup for my computer files, as I work from home my computer is used by the rest of the family for personal and internet usage. So I was worried that my work which pays some of the wages towards the house could get corrupted by mutiple users of the same machine. I found that I needed to keep my work files backed up, but quickly, simply and efficiently. I have an 250 GB hard drive so in theory I can back up the whole of the drive onto my maxtors' drive it has a 300 GB capacity. Advantages: Lots, saves space, reduces weight of the storage space
Disadvantages: I only worry about the durability of the plastic

...This is one of the best thing I have found in recent time... My husband bought it for us to pack all of our travelling clothes etc. and I have just fallen in love with the idea and the product. First of all its quite good size to accomodate clothes full of a suitecase. Then it saves you storage space. I have got just two of them now, but planning to buy more to sort out things at home which are not required in coming winter and then store them in these bags. Its definitely worth its price .. It definitely helps in reducing the weight of the clothes if you are flying. that means you can take more with you on your holidays :-) Now I am adding more things to my holiday luggage as I got some more space and weight to fill in the suitecase .....

Thin storage on the home front

Advantages: lightweight introduction to an important subject
Disadvantages: too lightweight!

...Storage is a perennial problem in my home - as it probably is in yours! Tessa Shaw's book is a pleasant, all-round introduction to the subject of storage. Full of nice pictures, of real peoples' homes, which are not overly 'staged' like the photos in many interiors books. A wide range of storage solutions are covered ranging from clothes and shoes, collectables and offices through to bathrooms, childrens' rooms and sheds and basements. There's even a section on food and drink! One of the chapters deals with a 'before and after' scenario for a bedroom. I found this rather uninspiring and found it hard to enthuse about the difference made to a fireplace cupboard by the replacement of a louvre door for an MDF one. Tessa Shaw did admit at one point that a scheme will only work if the owners put things away properly...
