Advantages: Quick way of expanding hard drive space or retrieving data from a damaged laptop.
Disadvantages: Can over heat if left on for serveral hours at a time.

...Everyone seems to have a tiny pocket USB drive these days, however they suffer from limited capacity and can be quite slow (especially the older USB1 type). Belkin realise there's a good market to be tapped here... via their USB2 hard drive caddy. I can't remember the last time I was this impressed with a piece of kit. Thanks to a £20 voucher from Powergen, I picked this drive bay up for £29.99 from PC world. In went an old fujitsu 10MB drive and now it's a fantastic portable (just) storage solution. The bay itself can accomodate both 3.5 and 5.25 inch drives to give you an idea of how big it is. Power is supplied via a normal 6A mains lead (supplied) which is identical to your computer power lead (so no problem replacing if you lose it). ...As you may have noticed by the title, i am reviewing the 8ft trampoline with enclosure. Which looks different from the one pictured ( but looks nice) and is smaller, but i will get round to that later. PACKAGING : This trampoline and enclosure come in the same box which is about 5ft x 2ft x 1ft and is a rectangle shape. the packaging is quite plain as it is a large cardboard box, with a big sticker on it showing the trampoline and the name of maker. I will add the box is very heavy, i had to have my partner pick it up for me as there was no way i could have lifted it by myself. So if you are a single mum and you want to pick it up, it would be easier if you had someone to help, also i dont think the box will fit into small cars, exspecially with the kids in the back. ...This is a great storage unit for any classroom lab or office if you have many laptops, the cart is made out of a strong steal, and is built on four trolly wheels witch are good if you want to store your cart 'out of the way' the strong top of the cart is stable for computers, laptops, projects ,ect. so your cart could be used as a desk or table. the storage is superb as you can store upto 16 laptops, and have the option to charge them too. alround the cart is realiable as i house my computer on mine, and is still as strong as when i got it. its also easy to move, and easy to charge your laptop(s) from it. The only thing i would improve is the wheels, although the make moving the cart easier, that some times the problem in my situation as i have my computer on it, and over time as i continue to use it, the trolly keeps moving... ...I bought this storage device as a backup for my computer files, as I work from home my computer is used by the rest of the family for personal and internet usage. So I was worried that my work which pays some of the wages towards the house could get corrupted by mutiple users of the same machine. I found that I needed to keep my work files backed up, but quickly, simply and efficiently. I have an 250 GB hard drive so in theory I can back up the whole of the drive onto my maxtors' drive it has a 300 GB capacity.
