Samsung B3310 - but its pink!!

...Introduction Whilst out shopping my wife suddenly decided that she needed a new phone as she wasn?t happy with her LG Cookie that she had only had for six months. As she is on a sim only contract, it meant that we would have to pay for a new phone for her. Previously she has always liked Samsung phones so when she saw the newly released B3310, she decided it was the one for her. Purchasing the phone We bought the phone in-store from the Carphone Warehouse for £49.95 but we also had to buy £10 airtime on top of this. If we had chosen not to buy the airtime then the phone would have cost £99.95 instead which seemed a bit strange but evidently all phone manufacturers do this. A great feature on this phone is that you can send both standard and extra long text messages, up to three in one go, although it probably does charge you that much extra. 3310 - THE phone for technophobes

Advantages: A classic mobile phone, now very cheap

...Well, its a nokia. That almost guarantees quality. It has the usual visual layout of the nokia phones, and the menu is the same as on past nokias. It has the usual nokia games, that do look better than on past models. It has a ring tone composer, and you can send and receive ring tones as well as operator logos that appear on the top of the screen. The 3310 is extremely good looking, I fell in love with it the first time I saw it. I know lots of people that feel the same way. The buttons have been precisely designed to be exactly the right size, and right distance apart, allowing extreme ease of use. The screen is perfect, not too small as on some alternative. Advantages: Perfect size and weight for a handset, plenty of fun toys to play with

I've decided to do another "unresearched" op here - no going into the phone's technical specifications (frequency, brochure battery life, etc). 3310 - Never again

Advantages: Great features, looks good with silver facia, robust feel
Disadvantages: Lack of testing by Nokia, chat messaging not as good as it appears

...Having had a 3210 for the past year & being very happy with it, I decided to 'upgrade' to the Nokia 3310. The first 3310 I had kept freezing and asking for me to 'insert a SIM card'. In the middle of conversations it decided to switch itself off. Fair enough - one off faulty phone. So I got this replaced. The second phone seemed to be ok so I purchased a silver Nokia facia for it. The originally blueish/grey cover was horrible but the silver facia seemed to give me a whole new phone. It looked really smart and I was very happy with it. Until.....this one started to freeze & switch itself off (a common problem I was told by the seller because the phone was a new Nokia product). Advantages: You can receive picture messages, and phone icons which is not available on several other handsets.
Disadvantages: Becoming quite popular, if your friends have the same phone with the origonal cover it can be difficult to find your phone!

Advantages: VERY STRONG IT LASTS LONG.

...Nokia!! that's the name. 3310!! that's the number (am i right?). We are in the age of mobile technology and one needs a phone that is durable, easy to handle, and and simple. If you are interested in these features, then NOKIA 3310 is the answer. It is what we can describe as- basic. It doesn't have all these features you'll see in all these new mobile phones that are comming out now in the market- no camera, no polyphonic ringtones, no colour screen, it's not GPRS wap supported, and ..oh! it's not a flip phone ( am I stupid? everyone knows that). So if you are the type who want any of these features in your phone, sorry then look elsewhere for phone because the 3310 is not made for your type. But that does not mean it's a good for nothing phone, in fact I'll say it's one of the best phone that has ever been...
