The cooker is available finished in either silver or gold enamel which appears to be quite robust and hard wearing. The cooker top is black as are the sides. I thought the WL stood for without lid, but it seems from the instructions that it means waist level. This was clearly lost on me at the time of purchase but I did not require a glass lid in any case. Beware confusion in the listed title description of this product. It is certainly not for LPG (liquid propane gas connection) and this is specifically mentioned in all the literature. The 550 version is 55 cm wide and if you have the space, well worth upgrading to 55cm cooker, since it is surprising just what extra can be fitted into the oven when friends arrive. ...This was the worst product we have ever had. The dimplex stoves cooker was extremely bad in every repescts. It looked great in the shop, suited the kitchen design but what a mess. It was a poor cooker as the temperature of the ovens did not work properly. This is why one has temp. controls so that baking and cooking can be easily done without fuss or concern. However engineer could not fix it and after 6-7 call outs the company said it was not a manufacturing problem but something else. They never replaced it, did not answer calls and waited till the guarantee ran out and then said they could fix it in ireland for very high prices. Every aspect of the after service was appauling. they could not get an expert to answer why there was poor quality in all aspects. It is a dual-fuel range cooker, gas hob, electric ovens and grill. ...toddler is around and worse still, if the door is shut the gas is automatically cuts off but when opened again it comes back but does not ignite so there is potential for quite a nasty accident if you are not careful. My other dislike is the knobs. One split after 14 months so I had to buy a new one at £11.75 which took 4 weeks to arrive and now another has split. I would buy another Stoves cooker but only if they have improved the things I don't like...

Richmond Capital of the Confederacy

Advantages: Cheap accommadation and food but of reasonable quality
Disadvantages: Everything shuts on a Sunday so if you are in a B&B make sure you stock up on grub

The White House of the Confederacy This is next door to the Museum of the Confederacy and its tour is informative but to my mind too dull to stimulate the minds of most of its visitors. In conclusion this is a wonderful city to visit. The cost of living i.e. eating out is extremely good value for money (again this is probably because of the University). Navigating the city is not as easy as Washington DC but this is probably because of at the end of the American Civil War a large portion of the city was burnt down and the replacement buildings were simply erected where the others fell. However this gives Richmond its wide range of architectural styles....

Advantages: Quite cheap. Look like sausages.
Disadvantages: A pitiful 42% pork content. Quite chewy. Far too much salt per sausage.

It has the standard four burners 1 large, 2 medium and 1 simmer but has mains electronic ignition ( a brilliant bonus) It only has a single oven but this is large enough to fit everything in (no trouble with the turkey this year!) ...A nice looking oven at a good price, ours is the dual fuel version running the hob from a gas bottle outside the house. It has a fan oven,a normal oven, a grill and a warming drawer. The hob has some nice heavy cast iron pan racks these look really good and support the pans nicely. Also included are a griddle plate which sits over two burners and a wok support to sit over the front middle burner( the hottest one). both of these have been used and are a worthwhile addition. We mainly use the fan oven, this works well and is easy to clean, Its a shame the fan oven is the lowest oven, as the conventional oven that we rarely use is higher from the ground and much more convenient to use. The grill works well but is no bigger than a grill on a standard oven. In fact no individual area of the range is bigger than a standard 500mm oven...
