Hopeless customer serivce and delivery policy

Advantages: I can't get hold of the product, so I have no idea if it's any good.
Disadvantages: Slow or non-existent delivery and poor customer service

...for a further payment, and yet not have the item available at all for normal delivery? Why can't they inform the customer straight away if an item is out of stock? Why should the customer pay for an expensive helpline to sort out problems in Scott's system? I do a lot of internet shopping but I'd never use Scotts of Stowe again....

Advantages: Excellent quality, home delivery, wide product range, online shopping
Disadvantages: Expensive, delivery can take up to 28 days, dangerous for shopoholics

Great care, excellent service and friendly staff

Advantages: Great service from an established local practice
Disadvantages: Not much shade in the car park on sunny days

I have three cats at present and although they are relatively young and in good health in the past I have had older cats who were not quite so fortunate. Ski-ing in Stowe

Advantages: Beautiful, Friendly, Good Value
Disadvantages: Really need your own transport

...As there is no dedicated section to Stowe, I'll split my review into Accomodation, Stowe, Ski-ing and Restaurants. We went for 2 weeks to Stowe in February 2003. We flew into Boston and hired a car at the airport from Hertz. The drive itself was very dramatic as we drove up in a snow storm. The journey should take 3 - 4 hours from the airport but on this day it took us nearly 6!! (worth bearing in mind if you are going in the winter) The roads are fantastic and despite having never driven in America before Hertz provided us with a really good map and pointed us out of Boston itself. The majority of the drive is on the Interstate which was wide and uncongested and despite being our equivalent of a motorway it was very scenic. There is a toll, but as I remember it was only a couple of dollars. You can fly into Burlington Airport which...

Give Uncle Tom A Chance!

Advantages: A truly phenomenal novel
Disadvantages: It must be regarded in its historical context

...If you're going to attempt to compare this novel to modern fiction, don't bother. Uncle Tom's Cabin is essentially a product of a very specific time in American history (it was published in 1852) and it is very important to consider attitudes at the time when reading it. Upon meeting Harriet Beecher Stowe, Abraham Lincoln only half-jokingly referrred to her as 'the little lady' who started the American civil war because of the phenomenal success of this novel. And make no mistake: it was phenomenal. Discounting children and the 5 million or so semi-literate slaves at the time, Uncle Tom's Cabin sold enough copies for there to be one for every four or five readers by the time of the civil war. Uncle Tom's Cabin - a cry for equality

Advantages: Interesting characters
Disadvantages: Too sentimental

...Uncle Tom's Cabin was written specifically by Harriet Beecher Stowe inorder to appeal to white middle class American women at the time and to inform them of the issues that were surrounding the treatment of different races within American society. This book was written when slavery was still seen by the majority as acceptable and the way things were supposed to be, which was obviously a good incentive for the more perceptive to point out the huge problems within the unfair and exploitive system. Stowe showed her black characters as real people with real emotions unlike some previous authors who had just seen them as inferior. she wanted to get the point across that there was actual suffering and cruelty and that all people should be treated with equality. I wanna, wee wee. Oh I mean a, Wii!

Advantages: Small,SD Card Port,Gamecube Compat,Interactive...
Disadvantages: Wired nunchuck, No ethernet port, Not always accurate

...and does not seem to get hot during gameplay. Some negative things about the Wii DESIGN are... Its not available in special colours like black and red, it only has an SD Card port, not other card slots. The nunchuck is connected with a wire to the remote, and this can get twisted and tangled, and get in your way when your playing a very alert game like Boxing, and shooters. Also their is no switch on the actual Wii to turning in off properly (Only standby) Which will result in your poor Wii having to by unplugged, due to power conservation. Good points of the Wii design are, its sleek, small and compact. It has a nice different unique apple white colour to it, and its run with ATI graphics. Also the fans work effectively and the system does not get hot! I like how the wii can be stowed two ways, it makes a change to turn it the other way...
