The best straightners!

...I have just got this ghd's, after having used ghd's for years! I must say these pink ones seem to be better designed, and feel a lot smoother on my hair, whether that's just because they are new, or technology has improved i don't know! Allthough you do pay out a bit more for ghd's, i'd never go back, they warm up so fast (7seconds!) and really do give your hair a smooth finish compared to other straightners I have used. I also use these to curl my hair, so they kind of do two jobs (well) in once! The hot pink colour is also a great bonus, they look so sleek and trendy, and really put a finish to your beauty products! I'd say definately purchase some of these for fab hair girls!!!...

...Right, these straightners are gorgeous, and hey I must say, they're great, get nice and hot and really do heat up very quickly and straighten heair well and fast. BUT... I have had 5 pairs of GHD straightners in the last few years...each one has blown up after 12 months!! I kept getting them cause of the new colours they brought out...a good maketing technique there GHD....but the only pair which have yet to blow are the pink pair which I have now! I had these white ones for just 6 monhts and they blew up on me, I do use them alot, but, thats no excuse, they should last alot longer than 6 months!! Yes if they're within warrently, they'll be replaced, but for over £100 you expect at least 3 years from them!!!!! Yes they do heat up very quickly but I got a pair of Remington straightners two days ago, which get hotter in the same time...

Super straightners

Advantages: shiney hair, can even curl it

...My GHDs, if I was ever stuck on a desert island these would be the luxury item I would have to take! Before my eyes were opened to the world of GHDs I was constantly moaning that my frizzy, wavy hair could never be straightned no matter what I used. I had tried a variety of straightners before hand, but all seemed to leave it lank and still frizzy! That was until my mom bought me GHDs. I plugged them in and within seconds they were hot enough for me to straighten my hair! (although be careful they do get extremely hot, and I have burnt myself numerous times!) Taking a section of my hair I clamped it between the ceramic plates and pulled it down. I was amazed! There was my hair super straight not frizzy at all and you know what else...it looked shinier then before! That was 2 years ago and I'm still using the exact same GHDs...

...I love my ghd straightners! Ive tried many different types of hair straightners and they've all been ok, but ive never really thought that they straighten my hair particularly well. A commone theme, is that it doesnt stay straight for very long, which is very annoying, or that it takes an age to straighten my hair, and this means my hair gets split ends! A friend recommend the ghd straightners to me a few months back, and i had seen them in the shops, but at £130 a go, i had always walked pass them. Anyway, i bit the bullett and bought a pair, firstly, i have to say they felt good in my hand, they werent too bulky, and easy to manevoure through the hair. Excellent straightners

Advantages: Price, cordless, varied heat settings
Disadvantages: not suitable for short hair styles

...I was a bit unsure when purchasing these hair straightners as with them been portable they only last for 4 minutes between topping up the temperature (by placing back into the stand) but surprisingly they are a great pair of straightners! One huge benefit of them is they can be cordless or you can attatch them to the cord if you like so they really do give you total freedom as the name would suggest. The top temperature is 230 which is great for most people but they also have 4 other temperature settings starting from as low as 150 degrees so great if you don't fancy frying your hair. I think considering the price they are an excellent pair of straightners. The only people I would suggest not buying these straightners to would be those with short hair as the plates are quite wide and would not be suitable for styling short lengths...

The Best Straightners Ever!

...These straightnes are the best so far, i used to use them alot when i lived with my parents when they first came out. but since moving into my own house ive had to use normal straightners which are okay and do the job but they are not great and dont leave my hair as straight as the GHD's, which i always use when im at my parents, and you can totally see the diffrence. they heat up in a few seconds, they also have a saftey switch where they switch themselfs off if there left on for a while, think its 5 mins so they dont overheat and cause a fire etc. you can get them in three colours, White, Pink and Black, there thin and very stylish. the ghd's are well worth the money in my opinion....

...My experience- I have very curly hair. It had an extreme tendency to frizz. Unless I do something with it the only way I could leave the house would involve a paper bag! This never bothered me when I was younger, I was oblivious but when I hit puberty how I looked started to matter. Advantages: easy to use

...You can buy GHD straightners from most hair salons or you can buy them from the GHD website http://www.ghdceramics.co.uk where they cost £91.50. The might seem expensive but after you have used them it is definately worth it. They are quite small so they are easy to handle and light and are much better than other straightners. The ceramic plates heat up to 210 degrees in about 6/7 seconds and because they heat up to this temperature you can easily burn your fingers or ears. It has a salon length cable and comes with a styling hints and tips booklet which can be very helpful. You can buy cheap heat protector mats to lay your straightners on while using them or after so nothing gets burnt. If you are using these straightners you should get sprays or serums to protect your hair from the heat especially as they go up to 210...

FHI hair straightners

Advantages: Get very hot and straighten hair easily.
Disadvantages: you have to use a heat mat!

...I bought my pink FHI hair straightners last week and am totally delighted with them. They are definately the best i have ever had and i have almost tried them all, from remington to GHD! They heat up top 232 degrees which is the hottest i could find and make straightning your hair so much quicker. They are also really good for curling your hair with and give perfect results every time, but there is a temperature dial on them so you can have them as hot as you want and dont have to risk burning your hair! Another thing i like is that they heat up really fast so there is no waiting around and you dont need to go over the same bit of hair twice. I have already told all my friends about them!...
