FFX Strategy Guide

...If you are a Final Fantasy fan, as I am, you will appreciate the true complexity and vast nature of these games. Towards this end, this strategy guide (a nice name for a 'walkthrough') has been released. After I had done my research for the game and decided I was going to buy it, I purchased this book at the same time. It was available as a prompter if I got lost, but it also provides insight on the finer points of the game, and the many hidden aspects and side games too. Firstly the presentation of the book is immaculate, the artworks are taken from the developers original designs and are truly breathtaking. Each character has their portrait rendered faithfully along with a detailed bio. Final Fantasy X Strategy Guide - Worth The Money

Advantages: Colourful, Informative, Clear, Lots of Artwork
Disadvantages: May Be A Tad Expensive These Days

...Now I'm not usually a fan of strategy guides, infact I think Final Fantasy X was the first game I bought a Strategy guide for. Not because I was stuck, I had already finished the game, more of a collectors item but it proved to be a lot more useful than I had ever though. It was originally one of those, buy it and stick it on your shelf purchases until it becomes worth something but in the end I was unable to sell it on ebay or anywhere else as it had practically been worn out through overuse. The Guide itself features a walk through of the entire game, giving strategies for every boss where items are hidden and resolutions to every puzzle. Perfect guide for the perfect RPG

Advantages: 228 pages of all the details you need to know
Disadvantages: Screen shots could be a little bigger

...the screenshots very regularly, and some details shown are hard to see because of the great visual detail in the game. Lots of colours flow out throughout the game meaning some items would loose themselves when captured as a screenshot. Have you played the game? If so you'll know that especially in Bevelle, those cloister of trials can be quite dauting at first. Well this guide is great for not only completing the trials but for also getting those bonus items hidden by the destruction spheres. It splits up each stage at a time making it rather easy to follow. Boss strategies appear often as well offering the fullest advice on how to beat them. Not only is there a picture of them but a list of details you would expect to see.
