Tesco Value Strawberry Cheesecake

...Who says Tesco Value food isn't up to scratch? Well on the contrary my dear Watson...here's a small dessert that is second to none - their individual strawberry cheesecake. Found in the yoghurts section of your local Tesco, these 100 gram pots cost around the 40p mark. They may not look the most appealing of desserts - in a clear plastic pot with a foil lid with the words Tesco Value inscribed on it. Hardly a great advertisment, but fear not, once you try them then you'll keep going back for more. The strawberry topping is absolutely delicious - sweet, thick and tastes like genuine strawberries rather than some artifical nonsense. The base is a little bit soft compared to a first-class cheesecake base, but remember, you're eating Tesco Value here so there can be no qualms about it's quality in comparison with the price...

Disadvantages: Watery - soggy biscuit base - cheese layer has a foamy texture.

...Tesco Value Stawberry Cheesecake I decided to buy this as I love cheesecake, but no one else in my household does. I knew it would probably not be as good as a full size version, but at least I could have a taste of it from time to time. What's it like It is part of the value range at Tesco and so has the blue and white cheap looking packaging and has the notable VALUE logo. It's shelf life wasn't too long, but that is probably unlucky on my part. It is in a cheap looking plastic tub and has three layers of a type of strawberry gel on top, a soft cheese layer and of course a biscuit base. Calories wise it contains 225 calories and 9.4g of fat (3.8g are saturates). On opening it's aroma is quite pleasant, the positive experience ends there... Strawberry Smart Price Cheesecake.....Yum !

... Smartprice Strawberry Cheesecake... One of those Asda 'smart-priced' things that found its way into my trolley, but unlike some this is one that I now buy on every shop. Size, Packaging... You can pretty much see what your getting as the 'smart price' no frills packaging consists of a transparent plastic tub with a peel off tin foil type top. Normal cheesecake really...strawberry stuff on the top creamy white stuff in the middle and then the biscuity bottom layer. From what I can read the Ingredients tell me it's medium fat soft cheese...and the fat content is 12.8g but you can't really read the nutrition information untill you have eaten the cheesecake...kind of hard to read with the strawberry sauce behind it. the tiny small green lettering on the see through tub is NOT easy to read even once said tub is...

Deliciously Dairy Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream

Advantages: Tasty, nutritious and a real treat
Disadvantages: Not orgainc or fair trade, and high in calories

But we've not even experienced the extreme heat of July yet so before we all start to get depressed with the thought of the onset of winter blues heres a wonderful review on a deliciously sinful ice cream treat from good old Co-op. ...I've always had a soft spot for cheesecake and so when I spotted Asda's Smart Price Strawberry Cheesecake for only 38p whilst out shopping yesterday I simply had to buy one. The cheesecake comes in a small snack-size pot perfect for eating as a pudding after tea, a mid-day snack or before bed. Each pot is transparent and contains 90g of cheesecake. The writing on the pot is green and tells you everything you need to know about the product. It can however be a little difficult to read. The foil lid is green and white (Asda's colours) and so is not particulalry interesting or eye-catching. The fact that the pot allows you to see the cheescake inside is however rather enticing.
