Garmin i3 streetpilot - the mapbook is dead.
Review of Garmin Streetpilot I 3 by  bigkev007

Advantages: never get lost again, very portable.
Disadvantages: you can't have your music up loud.

...I bought my Garmin streetpilot i3 because I got fed up of passengers map reading and getting me completly lost and then giving excuses like, "you're driving too fast", or "you should have turned left back there". And the best one at the start of a journey "are the blue lines rivers or motorways?" Anyway, the Streetpilot cost me £129 from Halfords who were very helpful and knowledgeable about all their GPS systems. Basically I bought the cheapest one because of the amount of use it gets - on average once a month. The first thing I noticed was that the streetpilot took a long time to find the satelites. I quieried this with Halfords and was told that some cars have a thermal element built into the windscreen which can block the signals to and from satelites. To get around the problem, you need to buy an exterior aerial for another £20... Read review

Garmin StreetPilot I3
Review of Garmin Streetpilot I 3 by  Scuzzy1965

Advantages: Simple to use, convenient, compact
Disadvantages: Takes time to lock on signals

...What an item. After buying my Garmin StreetPilot I3 I was up and running withing minutes. It is an amazing piece of kit. The support from Garmin has been exceptional and software updates are sent to me when they are available. The only downside that I can mention is that when not using back-up batteries it does take a little longer to 'lock on' to the satellite signals. However having said that, if that is all that there is to complain about then thats a small disadvantage. I use my street pilot 7-8 hours a day, 5 days a week. It is unobtrusive, simple to use and easy to update. I also use it more for keeping an eye on my speed. When not actually navigating the display shows what speed you are doing, this can be in MPH or KPH. All in all, well done garmin... Read review

Street Pilot - Street Level
Review of Garmin StreetPilot III by  penguin1052

Advantages: Move Between Cars
Disadvantages: Can't really think of any

...Ok now this is a great unit. You’ll never get lost again with the Street Pilot III (SP3). You can type in a house number and road name and it’ll take you right to the door with visual and audio navigation. GPS navigation has never been so easy. Ok now there are two versions available the SP3 and the SP3 Deluxe package. I’ll only cover the Deluxe as that’s the one I know. This comes complete with a 128mb data card and the mapsource data cd rom with all the road level detail and unlock code for the whole of Europe (worth about £200 between them). You can get the unit for around the £650 mark at the moment, so it’s worth shopping round to get the right price. But make sure you get the Deluxe is my advice, that data card is very useful, London at full detail is about 8mb!! Ok so what do you get? The SP3 gps unit USB data card... Read review

Sweet pilot - always has a place in our hearts
Review of Garmin StreetPilot III Deluxe by  gregslater84

Advantages: A solid GPS receiver
Disadvantages: Maybe a little outdated now

...The Street Pilot III is one of Garmin's earlier in-car satellite navigation units. Since this they have given us the Street Pilot 2610, 2620, 2550 and 2650 - all with a few advantages. The SP3 Deluxe gives us the benefit of having all the European maps at street level come with it in the box! So it's great for people wanting to travel Europe. The Street Pilot offers all the usual features, voice prompts, automatic re-calculation of route, post code and point of interest look up. Although it is a little bulky compared to newer units such as the TomTom Go. Unfortunately it's not that easy to set up for some people. The maps have to be loaded on the 128Mb Garmin Memory card that comes with the unit using your home computer. This is done using the MapSource software included in the box. The areas of the map you want to install... Read review

iii will tell you what it is about
Review of iii.co.uk (Interactive Investor International) by  XTHINKERAL

Advantages: Real time prices that flash Red and blue before your eyes
Disadvantages: Too many people looking for a verbal fight on the bulletin boards

...iii.co.uk Interactive Investor, has been around on the internet for along time. I think I discovered it around 1995 - 1996. And with each year since it began iii.co.uk (iii) has improved no end. I use a number of investor sights everyday, but the site I use as my homepage is iii.co.uk. The reasons.. many! Firstly it is my impression after using a number of portfolio tracking sights from Uk-invest, ADVFN, sharepages, motley fool too name a few. iii's is the best! You can track your stocks from a day too day basis, and for free. If you use there free service you get a 15minute delay on your portfolio prices during the day. However if you opt for the subscription which I have since its launch about 6months ago, you get real-time prices on your portfolio. This is great too keep track of movements during the trading day. Quake III On the PS2 nuff said
Review of Quake III Revolution (PS2) by  DeadMan

Advantages: Cool Graphics, Fun, Scooped up single player mode, 4 Player :-)
Disadvantages: No online play, No mouse and keyboard support :-(

...Quake III eh? I'm sure you've heard of it on the PC and Dreamcast and quite probably own it. But those of you who don't then you need to get your head out of the miserable cave you're stuck in and focus your eyes on this opinion. I own both the PS2 version of QuakeIII that I got cheap off an auction (ebay.co.uk) and a PC version. The differences are small, the PS2 version offering new weapons (which are borrowed from Quake III Team Arena on the PC), PS2 specific maps and game-modes. The weapons and maps make no real difference but the single player mode has been improved dramatically. No longer you simply go though the game within 3 days beating simply every bot in every deathmatch map the games has to offer, nay. The single player mode on the PS2 starts off with selecting a character from five (Sarge, Anarki, Doom, Klesk and Daemia... Read review

Warcraft III, best strategy ever,
Review of Warcraft III: Reign Of Chaos (PC) by  vavayis

Advantages: Hero feature, Neutral creatures, Good graphics, Good storyline.
Disadvantages: Maximum 90 population, Hard single player, no boats (like in warcraft 2)

...When i first installed and played the game Warcraft III i could already see that this was going to be one of those classic games. The cinematics are awesome, the storyline is great (and original) and gameplay is simple yet complicated. Simple enough for the beginners, yet highly in depth for the experts (especially when playing online). The graphics of the game are great, the fact that a strategy game has come out in real 3D really shows what great developers blizzard have. The fact that the game ties in at points from warcraft 2 (such as some of the units/abilities eg: blizzard) are really cool, this gives you a feeling of familiarity to a game (something that all games need) and yet it does not make you say "yez, another game that’s exactly like its predecessor with only hyped up graphics" The reason im saying that familiarity... Why they stopped making the k6-III
Review of AMD - K6-III by  thepanther

Advantages: fast socket 7 chip
Disadvantages: dont make them anymore

...There is one simple reason why AMD stopped making the K6-III processor chip. that reason is that the chip was just too good. Yes seriously the K6-III was too good for AMD to sell. Strange you think that AMD would not sell such a good chip. Well the reason behind it was that AMD was about to release the Athlon at the time which would be its new intel beating power chip. To make the Athlon such a succsess they had to make the gap between its last chip and this new one as big as possible. AMD feared that if the K6-III was still on sale it would eat into the profits of the Athlon and so make the Athlon not appear as good. Image is just as important as the profits. The K6-III 450 would be about the equivalent power or a k6-2 550-600 in my opinion. With a decent graphics card it would suit any mid range system. The K6-III... Read review

about AMD-K6-III processor
Review of AMD K6 III by  rpgmagician

Advantages: good and cheap processor for using simple apps
Disadvantages: too slow in dificult graphics operations

...The AMD-K6-III processor with 3DNow! technology incorporates AMD's TriLevel Cache design to enable leading-edge performance for today's consumer PC enthusiasts and business power users. The innovative TriLevel Cache design maximizes the overall system performance of AMD-K6-III processor-based desktop PCs by delivering one of the industry's largest maximum combined system caches. This larger total cache results in higher system performance. The TriLevel Cache design includes a full-speed 64KB Level 1 (L1) cache (a standard feature of the AMD-K6 processor family), an internal full-speed backside 256KB Level 2 (L2) cache, and a 100-MHz frontside bus to an optional external Level 3 (L3) cache on the Super7™ motherboard. With a total of 320KB of combined L1 and L2 cache, the AMD-K6-III processor has more internal cache memory than any... Read review

Quake III or Unreal
Review of Quake III: Arena (PC) by  Garza007

Advantages: Good graphics
Disadvantages: Lacks something...

...Well, both Quake III and Unreal Tounrament are magnificent games, but personally I prefer Unreal, because the gameplay is far more better... why is it better? well, you may think that Quake II and Unreal are the same kind of games, and they are but Unreal just seems to have that extra thing, that extra UMPH! over Quake III... Quake III has stunning graphics and sound, but it still lacks something, that something that Unreal has... I can't explain it properly... But I do have to say that Unreal is better all round than Quake III... even though Unreal requires a good video card, it's still very good... So if you're stuck in a situation between Quake III and Unreal Tournament, then I say choose Unreal Tournament... Go on you know you want to!!!... Read review
