Studio - Excellent Catalogue / Website

Advantages: Loads of gift ideas & cheaper than most shops
Disadvantages: Sometimes delivery can take a long time

...the sites I looked where £65 per set but on Studio they where only £32.99 so I got my two sets for what I would have been paying for one & they are also on Quidco so you get can even more money back buy going through them. The catalogue has loads and loads of choices from Garden Furniture, clothes, electricals, toys & games, homeware & gifts (the list goes on). If you are looking for a little something for a birthday, new baby etc this is a good site to look at because you can get a lot of personalised gifts on it so you can have mugs, photo frames, towels etc etc with the persons name on it. studio catalogue !! BEWARE !!! faulty candy fridge scam!!!

Advantages: learnt never to buy from studio again

...21 may , I get another call from them saying the item might not able to be returned - and there's nothing they can do about it at this point and a manager would ring to confirm this later in the day, 3 pm I get a call from a manager and she said she's emailed candy and is awaiting a reply. So its late afternoon Friday - I've heard nothing from them so yet again I ring them, I was told there's no record of this return or email being sent to candy - I was advised to ring candy myself and ask them to repair the damaged fridge. A complaint with trading standards has been made. They state under the sale of goods act 1979 section 14 when you buy something it should not be faulty. IM left with a faulty fridge and a bill for £184.99 for something that doesn't work, Studio don't seem to care they have no record of anything other...

Studio 24

Advantages: Good value for money!!
Disadvantages: Sometimes hectic to get through to them!!

...Studio is a catalogue which you can buy practically everything going on there, including game consoles, bedding, kitchen ware, you name it, it is on there!! I find studio pretty good value, they have offers on every month and some items are so cheap, you can get items personalise. You can order online, over the phone, by post with a form that you get with the catalogue or statement if you are a previous customer. I must admit though, they are a nightmare to get through to if you need help with something. You can pay for your items over a period of time or pay straight out right. If you fail to pay on time they do charge you an fee of £25 to cover costs of the letter reminding letter etc...you can ring up and pay over the phone by debit or credit card (with credit card there is a fee £2.50) with their automatic service...

attempted rip off by Studio

Advantages: cheaper prices
Disadvantages: extortionate late payment charges

...16th November 06. I had an operation for breast cancer. It was a very worrying and busy time just before Christmas and New Year and I got behind with paper work. 28th December 06. (The date of their statement - I do not know the date I received it). Statement 22 from Studio showed I owed £33.10p for goods received, but with £20 plus £1 charges added, making the total owing £54.10p. I 'phoned them up and apologized for the delay in payment and explained I had been in hospital, and in the circumstances I felt the charges were a bit unfair. The man I spoke to said they do not refund charges, but he would send me a voucher for £30 which I could use towards my next order. I had no intention of sending another order at that time, but thanked him and received the £30 voucher a few days later. I did realize my medical problems...

...DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY! Earlier this year I bought three items of furniture totalling £170.00 plus a £25.00 delivery charge. Although it seemed excessive I decided to swallow the delivery charge as the items were exactly the right style and size for what I required. One of the items had the wrong assembly fixings and instructions and another was damaged. The other was also slightly damaged (not that noticable) but was complete tat anyway so I decided to return the lot. When my next statement came the returned items had not been credited to the account and I had been charged for the same items again. I had now been charged twice for something I didn't have. According to Studio this is standard company policy for returns. Also, they claimed they had no record of the returned items even though I had the stamped collection...

...Studio is a smallish catalogue with a huge selection of goods on offer. Everything from kitchen appliances, suites, beds to little things like stationary and personalised gifts. Whats more is that pretty much everything is at a really reasonable price! Studio has an online facility with which you can register. This allows you to shop, pay contact Customer Services via e-mail, track an order, check past and recent orders and view your account status. The shopping part is obvious. You can browse the catalogue online and order or do the 'quickshop' whereby you enter the catalogue number and page if you already know it and add it to your shopping basket immediately. By shopping online, you also have access to 'internet specials'. These are special goods which aren't in the catalogue - worth a look! It also boasts a 'clearance...
