Advantages: Fairly cheap answerphon & cordless combo
Disadvantages: Not GAP compatible so cannot use non studio 500 handsets

...My BT on-air base station recently went bellyup, so I was in the market for a combined cordless phone with answerphone. The BT Studio 500 has recently been reduced from £50 to £40, so I thought this would be a good unit. A twin handset unit is available for £50. The BT Studio 500 unit itself has all the usual features of a modern cordless phone, except one which I shall come to later. The answerphone is also well featured. Overall this is a phone that should compete on price, quality, and features with other makes. I had two GAP compatible handsets from my BT on-air setup so thought I would link these into the Studio 500. ...I have been using the BT studio 1500 twin digital, cordless telephone answering machine for some time now, I have the base unit answer machine downstairs with the extra hand set which is a BT studio 1000 and charger upstairs. The telephones appear to be fine but can be quite complicated to get used to. ...We are regular travellors to Florida, and Universal studios is one of our must see attractions, particularly now that the new park 'Islands of Adventure' is now open, the rides are great,the shows such as the Wild West Show, Beetlejuice and Famous TV & Film Animals are excellent, the general atmosphere whilst in the studios is brilliant..... my wife loves back to the future ride, my favourite is Terminator 3 ..but there are others rides which are just as much fun such as, Jaws, earthquake, Twister and Congfrontation.... Universal Studios in our opinion offers more than Disney MGM ( although Disney MGM is good) but it is all a matter of personal preference.. You'll love the lookalike actors that walk, drive and parade around the park, and you can also have breakfast with the cartoon characters which is really good fun and gets you... Read review

...Sound Studio is a really clever software based midi sequencing program that comes with absolutely loads of cool gadgets that are easy to use, entertaining and great for any budding would be musician. In the package i purchased i also had a midi keyboard complete with all leads and software including Piano Tutoring Program. The basics of the Sound Studio package enable people to create chords and sequences immediately with virtually no knowledge at all, it teaches you all about midi as you go along, and even comes with sample tunes and the ability to add lyrics in both wav and text format. The complete package with keyboard can be purchased for around £100 so it's obviously a steal for those who want to get started with midi, without breaking the bank.... Read review

Advantages: Sweet clasic sound of truck Rock & Roll

...I would have to say haveing not owned but played all of them the Studio would have to be the best Epiphone Les Paul i have played. Which is uppose is why i bought it. At £260 reduced from £350 it is a very nice second or third guitar, depending on your finacial posision. I think out of all the mainsteam guitars on the market has the largest could variety i have ever seen. At least 15 Different shades of sunburst, not to mension the different shades of hardware. It gives a perfect soud unique to the Gibson and Epiphone ranges. I would be carful not to be confused as a first time buyer for repicas such as "Vintage" or "De-Amon" who have never beed able recreate the true Gibson sound. As guitar shop sales are common it is definetly a guitar to look out for!!... Read review

...3D Studio MAX (now upto version 3.1) by Kinetic. This program allows you to edit objects and landscapes in 3D using your 3D card. It allows allows (with various addons) creation of other 3D objects such as game mods and weapons (such as Rogue Spear). 3D Studio MAX is very difficult to pick up. It is not intended for the average or beginner user. The controls are simple enough, but creating good looking realistic pieces takes time and effort. However, behind the deceptivly simplistic layout hides a real power that can be used very effectively. One noticable trait is how the program uses your 3D card. This means that rendering is quicker, and much higher in quality. It's also faster overall, but sadly very prone to crashing as it is soo processor intensive.
