Fisio 825, cheap with good features
Review of Philips Fisio 825 by
tino
Advantages: small, lightweight, bluetooth, cheap
Disadvantages: no infrared, not other connectivity options
...The Philips Fisio 825 was one of my impulse buys later last year, and for £90 I got a lot for my money. The Fisio 825 first off is very eye pleasing, and is comfortable to hold and to make calls with. I had no phone at the time, and at around the same space of time, The Link were tempting me by offering £20 worth of free credit with the phone. On first glance the Fisio 825 stood out with its small size and array of features like a full colour screen and built in Bluetooth connectivity. This phone is from the 800 series of Philips phones, the Fisio 820 is cheaper but lacks Bluetooth and only has 256-colour screen instead of 4,096 like the 825.
The phone is available in 4-5 different colours, my one was sterling silver, but there is also a navy blue phone and one with a gold colour scheme. I can’t remember the others off the top of my...

Rowenta DM825 - Ironing made easy
Review of Rowenta DM 825 Profess. LUXE by
Serenfach
Advantages: Good glide, large water tank
Disadvantages: None
...Having killed my last iron (I managed to melt a fleece onto the soleplate!), it was time for an upgrade. My previous iron was also a Rowenta, a model down from this one. I had always been happy with the brand, so I decided to go for the DM825. My decision was helped by a recommendation by Which Extra in their best buy guide.
The DM825 Professional Luxe Steam Iron (to use its full name), is a very good all round iron. It looks modern and attractive (I've had it about 5 months now and it still looks brand new). It's not too heavy and glides really well, which is a definite advantage as I now get the ironing finished much quicker than before, and I can honestly say the results are very good.
All the buttons are easy to use and it does seem to warm up to just the right temperature on each setting. The temperature 'wheel' is just...

The EPSON Stylus Pro 5000 is probably the best producer of top quality printer I have come across to date - and I use a lot of printers for work and personal use.

DS stylus: can come in handy!
Review of Nintendo Stylus for Nintendo DS by
shamis4
Advantages: cheap and a main component for using your DS
Disadvantages: small and easily lost (but that's why you'll need more)
...The Nintendo DS stylus is one of the most important components of the DS console as without it you cannot use the amazing touchscreen - or you can at least try with your fingers but will probably end up hitting about 4 buttons at once rather than that desired one. Most DS games also use the touchscreen as a main feature during the games for example in accessing certain functions or even in some games the whole idea is based on the use of the touchscreen. For example in Nintendogs you take the dog for a walk by dragging the lead across the screen, or in Brain Academy you write your answers in the screen. It is in fact this very touchscreen which makes the Nintendo Ds so unique and desirable. And the stylus is what makes it work - like a key for your car - you wouldn't be able to get anywhere without the key.
So why would you need...

Nintendo DS Stylus Pack
Review of Nintendo Official Nintendo DS Lite 3 Stylus Set - Black by
rose1986
Advantages: Wont damage your screen like other objects will. Good price
Disadvantages: Can get lost easily as they are small and delicate
...Nintendo DS Stylus
What is a Stylus?
A Stylus is the name given to the pen-like instrument used to operate the touch screen on the Nintendo DS Consoles. The stylus is made of plastic and is shaped in the style of an ordinary pen, although it is smaller and a lot thinner. The stylus' have a small, softer plastic point so that you can play your DS with ease and hit the finer points on your DS. Obviously, using your finger etc does work on the touch screen but you cannot hit things in a smaller area with ease and using other objects may damage your screen.
When you purchase your Nintendo, you will be provided with a Stylus and possibly two. They are extremely easy to pick-up and very cheap as well. There are also a range of colours available, so you can coordinator your stylus to match your DS! Also, there are glow in the dark...

EPSON STYLUS PHOTO R265: SUPER, I LIKE IT!
Review of Epson Stylus Photo R265 by
Hi-Spec-Tek
Advantages: BETTER DESIGN, QUIETER, GOOD PHOTO AND DVD/CD PRINTING.
Disadvantages: I HAVE FOUND NONE TO DATE.
...THE EPSON STYLUS R265 CD/DVD & PHOTO PRINTER.
I must say that since this one was chosen for me by Epson UK having had a somewhat disasterous time with the previous model of similar ilk, the (EPSON STYLUS R260). The R265 is so far doing well!
I have yet to give it the test of time since the R260 "croaked" after a somewhat short space of time in my estimation. 12 months almost to the day! I had an error messages up about non-replaceable parts wearing out and life of printer about to end. ALREADY!!! I fumed! Just out of gaurantee too. I telephoned the Epson UK establishment and was told that it could be repaired but... costs would outweigh the value of the printer. They did suggest that I take up the offer of the Epson Stylus R265. Yes, an altogether better piece of gear in many ways - so far! I await at least another six months to see...

Ortofon Styluses
Review of Ortofon Qbert Stylus by
DjCw
Advantages: lighweight, slimline, durable, reasonable cheap, very good quality.
Disadvantages: lightweight, slimline, some Djs do prefer bigger and heavier cartridges and styluses.
...As a Hip Hop Dj for over 10 years I have always used Ortofon, personally I think they make the best cartridges and styluses, because they are slimline, it makes it easier to find particular grooves on records, especially when trying to find a groove quickly not just cueing.
Other cartridges are a lot more bulkier, which can make it hard to see exactly where you are putting the stylus.
I am definitley buying the Q-Bert Stylus though, The last set of Ortofon styluses I bought was in 2005. A pair for teaching at youth clubs (so they are robust!!!) and a pair for home and club use. They can last a long time. On the reaI though. I do have only one stylus left though.
Due to me being RECKLESS....

Epson Stylus Photographic Printers
Review of Epson Stylus Color 860 by
Trev1000
Advantages: Ease of use and software capabilities
Disadvantages: Genuine ink cartridge replacement cost
...A wonderful product for wonderful people, I say that because it really does reproduce photographic quality well. Over the years i have use many different printers ranging from dot matrix through to lazer types, but for a good crisp print most inkjet / bubble jet types will suffice, however the Epson Stylus range are the ones I would recommend. They are a little higher priced than most other brands but the quality is second to none, with the exception of lazer type printers, BUT! if you want them you would normally need to take out a mortgage.
The Epson Stylus i use at the moment is the 860 model, and prior to that i owned the 600. Both models are designed for photographic and artwork printing and also with both models you can achieve a black and white text print that is truly comparable to lazer quality that has to be seen...
