...This is part of Pioneer's accelerate range which has been around for some years now. The TS-W 306C is a 12" sub woofer designed to be fitted to a sub box which is sold separately. Fitting The sub woofer comes with a pack of screws and double sided foam which is secured to the back of the speaker and then mounted onto the box, so as to give a perfect seal when screwed to the box. This is then mounted in the boot of your car. The only connection that you need to make is the speaker wires which is attached to the side of the box. I recommend using a good quality OFC (oxygen free cable) This cable is then connected to the speaker terminals on your amp. Performance This will vary greatly depending which amp you will use to drive this speaker. As a rule i would suggest you use a good quality amp rated 200 watts and above...

10 out of 10 Attack Sub

Advantages: Superb graphics, great sound/voice overs, interesting missions, and very complex
Disadvantages: Needs a lot of patience, difficult AI, slow movement of graphics, and no multiplayer

...The first submarine simulation game I played when I was a kid and despite its retro status, I still find myself playing it once in a while. Even though I mainly played the Amiga version when I was a kid, the Mega Drive version is literally the same and I'm currently trying it out again years later through an emulator. Plotline Taking place during the Cold War between the USA and the Soviet Union. 688 Attack Sub uses the what if scenarios and shows the worst what could have happened all those years ago. Starting from minor threats between the two countries and eventually turning into a world war. Gameplay The entire interface gives you that instant feeling that you're inside a submarine and in total command. As you can see from one of my pictures, there are several stations that need to be commanded and waiting for orders...

The budget, stylish Woofer system

Advantages: stylish, sleek and on a budget
Disadvantages: not high quality sound and not portable

It comes with the big sub-woofer and 2 smaller satelite speakers. **What is It Compatible With?** It says in the title PC multimedia, but i just plugged it onto my Mac G5 and it worked fantastically! That is a bit misleading as it can work with basically any mulitimedia appliance. It works with all Macs and PC's but it also even works with Laptops, porartable DVD players, walkmans and even MP3/ipods! It will work with anythng that needs headphones so it doesn't nessicarily be for the computer. I have mine for the Mac however but i have tried it with an ipod and it works brilliantly. Great bargain sub-woofer

Advantages: Great sound for the price
Disadvantages: No remote control

...A subwoofer can really finish off a home cinema setup but the price can be frightening. I spent £160 on a Yamaha YST-SW90 and never regretted it. The speaker is active and will take line level or speaker level input. It has it's own volume control and also an adjustable filter to select which portion of the bass is reproduced. The speaker also has an auto standy mode that switches it off if unused for a period of time. Be warned though this sub could shake your neighbours, or their neighbours. If I haven't convinved you, listen to this sub at your local hi-fi store....

Subbing Dictionary

Advantages: Brilliant for sorting out all those "troublesome words"
Disadvantages: Unlike Bryson's other books this is purely a reference book.

...Beware of "buy two get the third book free" at airports. You tend to rush your judgements and buy things based on the author's name rather than reading the blurb. Hence the fact that I ended up lying on a beach in Thailand reading the difference between "Yours sincerely" and "Yours faithfully". Originally it was published as a subbing dictionary (sub editors check spelling and grammar on newspapers and magazines) and as such this is indispensible. No matter how good your high school English is there will always be one or two words that catch you out and this book is the perfect solution. As a present for the pedant/grammatically challenged/student in your life this is a brilliant book. for someone who is looking for a good read it is not. It seems churlish to point out: but this is a dictionary. Pure and simple....

It comes in a clear plastic tray, with a photo of the cooked sub on the printed top label, which also tells us the weight, ingredients, and nutritional information. The sub comes in a cardboard sleeve that goes into the microwave with it, and to cook you simply microwave for a minute,turn over, microwave for a minute more, let stand, then eat. Very simple .
