Advantages: Plenty of gore
Disadvantages: Similar fighting styles and end boss too easy to defeat

A JOLIE GOOD PIECE OF ACTION

Advantages: Good action, Great SFX
Disadvantages: A bit boring in small parts

...started with an enticing piece of action to get us in the mood for more later on. It then developed into a mixture of sentimentality mixed with scenes of Miss Jolie's bare flesh (which even for the most hot-blodded men amongst us) i thought was unnecessary. The story takes our heroine from the depths of past city ruins in the Cambodian jungle to sub-zero ice lands, all in search of two ancient rock pieces that need to be reunited and can only have the desired effect when the planets are aligned in a straight line (apprently happens every 5000 years, or so we're told). ...I feel, what with it being New Year's and everything. Tonight the square will be packed with drunken idiots who think jumping in frozen fountains is hilarious (bet the ambulance people agree) - tho I think they've actually taken the water out this year to stop them. You'd think the sub-zero temperatures would be enough, but no. It's not a very interesting place at the best of times, apart from the National Gallery, not much to do there except get poohed on by pigeons and take pics to prove you made it. That's why it's always full of tourists and no self respecting Londoner would be seen dead there, especially tonight. So it's entirely full of tourists too. Snowy and special

...I've just returned home after a two and a half week holiday to Montreal, satying with a friend. Yes! It is the middle of Winter there - meaning sub-zero temperatures and thick snow but it was well worth it. There is a vast range of things to see and do - more in Summer obviously - and a rich mixture of architecture, cuisine, cultures, everything. My capabilities are limited due to illness so I didn't get to sample the night life but during the day I visited Downtown Montreal - great for shopping and sightseeing, Old Montreal - very touristy but beautiful, the port - again beautiful, Chinatown - for a delicious range of food and sights and we also found, tucked away, a music museum which was a small but fascinating glimpse of early music reproduction which displayed vintage gramphones, TVs, vinyl etc. Travelling within Montreal...

...may scratch you lens in your pocket. The viewfinder is colour but now fixed - better to use the LCD screen. Can not do 0 lux filming. Additional info: This camcorder can perform as it should be at sub-zero temperature (-3 degree C in Lapland) with continous shooting for 5-10 minutes (with the LCD screen opened exposing the battery to outside temperature). No obvious battery drain was seen. No slowing down during filming. Still picture function as normal too....
