...This is something of a long shot, but apart from maybe knowing something about the Subaru Impreza, due to its World Rally Car fame, I am going to guess that there are some of you reading this that are unaware that Subaru manufacture a larger car too, the Legacy. Subaru Forester 2.0 Auto AWP 1999 T reg.

Advantages: Comfortable, practical ultra reliable and safe. Handles superably in all weather conditions.
Disadvantages: Some wind noise at very high speed.

...I purchased a Subaru Forester with the All Weather Pack (AWP) from my local Subaru dealer (R N Golden of Huddersfield) having run an Impreza Turbo without problems for 2 years. With one previous owner from new, a full dealer service history and unmarked throughout. The dealer serviced the car and with 12 months MOT, collecting it was problem free. 'The All Weather Pack' is a definite must as it includes the following extras:- Air Conditioning, Massive Electric Sunroof, Heated Seats, Heated Wing Mirrors, Heated Wiper blades, Front Fog Lights, Headlamp washers, Front Seat Armrests. As I drive all over the country on business, an automatic gearbox was also a welcome option offering very smooth changes up and down the gears. Subaru Justy - It's Good!

Advantages: 4wd, cheap to run, cheap to buy,
Disadvantages: It says Subaru, but it's a Swift!

...right where you need it. It also has half-decent speakers as standard. The body panels, interior, wing mirrors etc. can be fitted from a Suzuki Swift, but the engine parts and running gear etc. are made by Subaru, thus a bit less common. The only problem I can think of with this car is that there is not many aftermarket parts available. If you wanted to 'soup up your scooby' then you would have to get it made specifically. Unfortunately the way my Justy came to an end was a head-on crash with a Laguna. The Laguna was completely written off, whereas the Justy wasn't that bad, but it wasn't worthwhile fixing it. The man who I talked to at the recovery centre afterwards said that he would of thought the Justy would have been completely crushed and was very surprised about my lack of injuries. SUBARU IMPREZA WRX PPP

Advantages: Power
Disadvantages: FUEL

...Extroverts only i think....but the boy in side need apply also... Well so much but so little. The car is an Impreza WRX 03. Had it second hand with 15k on the clock,paid 16k. Intitially the turbo lag can be a problem if your not used to it,if your a driver its not a problem. The buzz alone in the normal car is incredible but i will concentrate on mine which has the additional Prodrive performance pack added. Benifits of this is that its Subaru approved and warranty is not affected. Downside is it costs £1600!!!! Arggghhh i know but do it. The BHP is increased to 265ps (from 225)and torque goes up to a massive 348nm...ok figures but that means a 0-60mph of 4.8 seconds(official prodrive figures)Bye bye Porsche boxter turbos! Also this takes it past the impressive STI but without all the garish gold wheels and huge spoiler...

...my father recently purchased a nearly new grey import impreza wrx sti from japan. it is in the two-door bodyshell and looks stunning, just like the rally car. i propose that this impreza is the ultimate impreza and therefore the ultimate bargain performance car. the specific one in my driveway has been slightly tuned to produce 340bhp, but most of this punch comes at the top end to improve top speed. acceleration (as standard) from 0-60 comes around in 4.5 seconds and with the patented subaru all wheel drive system you always have as much grip as possibly available to you. the steering is responsive and light, and the STI brakes are extremely powerful. the inside is pure rally car, with huge red recaros and sporting steering wheel. when i took it for a spin when it was firt purchased i outran an aston DB7 and since that moment i...

Spring Park Motors - Shirley

...Spring Park Motors in Shirley are a small family run business who specialise in Subaru and Isuzu. As expected from a Subaru delear, there customer service is first class. They are honest (i.e. tell you they haven?t had time to do something rather than just charge you for it!) and friendly. I take my Impreza there for all its services and I have not been disappointed yet. On one occasion, because I couldn?t get to the dealer before they shut, they even dropped the car round to my house and popped the keys through the letterbox! Spring Park Motors might not be the cheapest Subaru dealer around, but I know that when I take my car to them I am getting first class honest service. They are a dealer you can trust....
