Advantages: Sub of the day is a bargain, large variety of choice
Disadvantages: Can be expensive, not as healthy as it seems

At my local Warwick branch, the staff recongnise me and always greet me with my name, and that personalised touch makes a big difference, they also give me double cheese at no extra cost and usually let me have a bottle of drink in my meal deal. These extra touches make you want to revisit the branch much and it is a pleasant experience. ~~~~~~~~~ Availability ~~~~~~~~~ You will find a Subway store in most towns, if not in your town there is likely to be one in the next town. Popping into Subway for a roll

Advantages: Freshly made healthy sub rolls made on the spot
Disadvantages: Too many fillings to choose from

Subway - Cheap as chips, well, almost!

Advantages: Deliciously fresh products, get to choose your own salad etc.
Disadvantages: Staff can seem a little wooden and queues can get quite long on weekends.

...My review is based on my experiences of the two Subway outlets I have visited in Harlow, Essex (there are actually three now within the space of a few miles). Upon entering the Subway they are both quite small but have some tables & chairs as well as some high stools and a bar or two to eat your sandwich on. You then enter the queue (pretty much always have to queue!) and then you are at the salad bar type area. First you will be asked to make your selection of baguette of which there are normally 4 (wheat, plain, italian herbs & cheese and something else - sorry can't remember), you can then choose whether you want a 6" or a 12" (footlong) sub. Then you will choose your main ingredients, i.e ham & cheese or cajun chicken etc, there are lots of sandwiches to choose from and the prices as well as the main ingredients are displayed...

...After an evening out on Sunday night with my oldest friend, we decided to have a bite to eat, to mop up the lager. Yes, that's the lager we shouldn't have been drinking due to the diets we're both supposed to be on!! ...I was very suprised how all my friends seemed to love subway and couldn't quite get my head round why they seemed to crave the subway sandwiches! I found it very strange how people could get so addicted to these healthy sandwiches! I was then in town with one of my friends and she said do you want to go to subway so we went. I walked in and saw that you can pick your own bread fillings and sauces. You also have a choice of if you want a foot long sanwich or half a foot! I picked half a foot because a foot sounds like a really big sandwich! I am a vegetarian so opted for a veggie delight. They put cheese on it and I had it toasted then I picked my salad and sauces. My sandwich cost me about £2.39 and thought this was good value for money. They also do special deals where you can include a drink and crisps/cookie. In my opinion...

...I've got to admit, when I first came across Subway about 3 years ago, I was a bit hit and miss about trying it. Maybe it's because I wasn't sure what to expect and I also wasn't keen on having salads in my sandwiches - little did I know I had a choice on this. The first Sub I ever tried and is now my favourite, was the Subway Melt. However there are many others to choose from on the menu available to how YOU want them.
