...I listened to this album again recently after owning it since it's release in 1999, and I can honestly say it's still as fresh as when I first heard it. Sugar Ray released 'Lemonade & Brownies' in 1995 to not so great reviews. It was a much heavier sound & didn't get seen as a masterpiece by the music community in general, even though as an avid fan I loved this record. They then went on to release 'Floored' which made the band a household name with great tracks such as 'rpm'. With '14:59' Sugar Ray have combined all of their styles of music & placed it in a varied album which in one instance sounds like your listening to a metal then changes on a tangent to more light hearted, easy listening sound. Advantages: Original, absorbing read, exciting
Disadvantages: Language is sometimes not very good, but this is minor!

.... The book is told from 15 year old Kim’s point of view and is set in Brighton. The two girls are completely opposite – Kim is a quiet, clever, naïve upper class girl; Sugar is a rough, wild and free girl from working class. At Sugar’s side, Kim is catapulted into a world of alcohol, ecstasy and long night swaying to dance music. Kim experiences a delicious taste of the hedonistic freedom that she has never felt before. She begins to fall in love with her and their turbulent relationship crashes up and down (and side to side). Sugar Rush isn’t the lesbian orgy it is sometimes called. It’s sometimes a bit tacky and unrealistic, and the “explicit warning” on the front cover is a bit pointless as there is only one very not graphic straight sex scene, with few details. ..., Sugar breakover, Sugar frenemies, Sugar promotion and finally (!) Sugar stress. I'm not really sure what they all are but they basically give info on lads, shopping, music, celebs, friends, revision and stress. The Sugar articles are quite good and tell me a lot but they aren't one of my favourites. ▫▫▫ Fashion ▫▫▫ This section tells the readers about what the celebs are wearing, the best make-up and cosmetics and what's fashionable for this season. ...'t even help it. Pepsi max is quite different from the pepsi cola. In cola, it is softer and more sugary but in max, it is less in sugar and a bit tasteless, all the same pepsi. The colas never lack caffeine that has been the natural content. The pepsi max is the same with the coca cola zero because both are low in sugar. Pepsi has very nice advertisements and mostly call up football and music stars. I have heard some conversations about the colas being fizzy but pal this more than a fizzy drink. The first day I tasted the drink, I was somewhat disappointed because of the low sugar content and I almost abandoned the drink but as things may be, I started getting used to It. ...If you like music nice, straight forward and easy to listen to erase all thought of this album from your head and go buy a Boyzone album. Six is an album of interwoven themes, complicated arrangements, eight minute songs, opera, and the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy. If that description has you intrigued then you should like it. Opening and title track, Six is one of the more rocky tracks on the album. It’s also completely different to the single version so if that’s all you’ve heard prepare for a pleasant surprise! I found the album (Barring the singles) hard to get into at first but if you persevere, as I did, it will become one of your favourite albums. ...My god!This is the best album i've ever heard.If you want pure funk then this is the album for you. Blood Sugar Sex Magic, although quite old now is ageless, everyone knows Under The Bridge which made the Chilis the phenomenon they are now and this album in my opinion is the best they've ever made, the newest ones such as Californication are in general much more mellower. I do tend to love every song on the album equally but "I Could Have Lied" has to be the most poignant and tear wrentching.On the other hand tracks like "Sir Psycho Sexy" are funky fun dittys that only the Chilis could pull off. "Breaking the Girl" is very catchy while listening to "Under The Bridge" after the Allsaints killing it gives me faith again in thew music industry. Advantages: A completely different style of music for every song!

...I first heard The Divine Comedy when I listened to 'Tonight We Fly'. I was touched by the sheer originality and pureness of the music. I bought their greatest hits album and was amazed to find that every song contains a different style of music, from soft rock to classical! Because Neil Hannon's music has no real set genre, he is not restricted to the use of certain instruments, and makes full use of this point by using as wide a variety of instruments as possible in his work. The only label i could possibly stick to The Divine Comedy is Easy Listening, as you can listen to the music whatever mood you are in! I think the song 'My Lovely Horse' sums up Neil Hannon's work... "My lovely lovely lovely horse, my lovely horse, running through the fields, where are you going, with your fat locks blowing in the wind, i want to shower you... Read review

...'s fantasies come true in this dream setting. In conclusion, if you can cope with the very speedy editing of the first episode, your patience will be rewarded by an endearing little drama, and you may find yourself desperately hoping for a 2nd series. Sugar Rush on DVD is a 2 box set, with commentary from the Producer Johnny Capps and Directors Sean Grundy and Harry Bradbeer on Episodes 1 & 10. It's RRP is £19.99, but Amazon currently have it reduced to £14.99. Try Ebay and you may be able to pick up a new copy even cheaper. One small note, if you enjoyed the soundtrack from the TV series, be prepared for a change of music on the DVD version. Enjoy!... Read review

...Many people think that this album is all about Under the Bridge, which is perhaps one of the biggest fallacies in music today. True, UtB is perhaps the most inspired piece of songwriting on this (or any other) album, yet the ease with which it blends in with the other songs on the album is a testament both to the outstanding quality of the opus as a whole, and also the track order which truly creates and changes moods as you listen to all 17 tracks. The opener, Power of Equality is good ol' RHCP funk, rushing from Bass slapping madness to near thrash like interludes. There are many, many high points on the album, but my particular favourites are Suck My Kiss, the quintessential cocks-on-socks full on rock song and Sir Psycho Sexy, which winds its way through over 8 minutes of classy lyrics, intermeshing melodies and the kind of drawn...
