...Embassy Suites On a recent visit to California, I was booked into this hotel because it was close to places I had to visit for work. The hotel itself is only a short drive from the airport (it took about half an hour in a hire car, and not knowing where I was going) and is located in La Jolla which is apparently quite an affluent area, featuring banks and houses and hotels as well as restaurants and a rather nice shopping mall. It's easy to drive into the hotel and should you ask for it there is valet parking in the high rise car park, but I just parked round the back of the hotel. Once inside the hotel, check in was quick and efficient and I was immediately impressed with the well set out entrance lobby featuring some nice little touches such as plentiful flowers. The Other Side Of Nelly: Suit

Advantages: Great production
Disadvantages: Poor rhymes

..."Suit" is the second half of a double album by Nelly released in 2004. It has him work in his smoother form, with music which is more R&B-like, than suited to rap. This means that you have a choice with Nelly's music, whether you enjoy his grittier side, or his singing side, to then pick a CD to match your preference. 1. "Play It Off" To set the scene for this album, we get a massive collaboratiion by Nelly as he gets a chance to rp as Pharrell does the production and singing for him. Although their work rarely comes together, when it does, such as in "Flap Ya Wings" (off "Sweat"), it is always top-quality. The pair work together amazingly, and with the futuristic Neptunes beats, and Pharrell's great falsetto singing, it all came together nicely. **Four Stars** 2. Suit - like marmite, you love it or hate it!

Advantages: Some decent songs

...This album is quite old, being release back in 2004, at least it feels old, I do own albums older, but that is not the point. Anyway, if you are completely unaware of Nelly and his genre of music - then you sound like my dad! - then I will introduce him. Nelly is one of several hundred rappers, however he has been lucky finding success after releasing his album Country Grammar, since then he has released at least three other albums. Suit was released at the same time as another Nelly album, Sweat, this was an adventurous action releasing two albums at the same time and some people began to claim that Nelly was getting too cocky, but they were both successful. Suit claimed to be an album containing his smoother, sexier songs, while Sweat, as the name indicates, was to have his faster, more dancey songs. I chose Suit, if I had been richer...

Disadvantages: an hour from the nearest beach

They have numbers for everything from chinese and local indian food delivered to your door to taxis and local attractions. Peacock Suites not shining in Anaheim

...bigger, with a sliding door through to a living area. It had been refit, with granite counter and new decor, so looked significantly better than the previous room. However the bathroom had not been decorated and again looked dark and dingy, plus the extractor fan was not working and the shower leaked. I reported both of these on the formal form and no response was made from the hotel. There was a small fridge, microwave and 2 TVs and DVD players, this is not a suite, or a timeshare unit as normal, more a standard hotel room. The decor in the rest of the hotel was very dated. Advantages: A Suite of Rooms to spread out in without an exhorbitant price tag

...We have stayed at the 'Minto' twice and have booked another visit for later this year. We have always enjoyed our stays there (hence the re-book) and are especially looking forward to this year as it has recently been completely re-furbished. The pictures on the website look great. We find that, as a family of five, with three children suite hotels are definitely the way to go. We appreciate having the extra space, our own lounge, kitchen and laundry room. Our children were quite young when we first went (the youngest was only just one) and it was so much more relaxing not to be confined to just one or two adjoining rooms. We always prefer breakfasting in our room so the kitchen is great to have and the children have space to spread out in the lounge, watch a little tv, even play with some toys if they are still young enough...
