St Topez Self Tan lotion

Advantages: Bottle last a long time
Disadvantages: Tan can wash off very easily

...When using this product you had to start in stages by doing a small section at a time. I found it was easier starting with the legs and spraying the product onto my leg then using an old sponge to spread it around as this product stains your hands terribly. It gave you a very good overall tan, although you needed to be sure you had covered all areas. I thought I had covered my feet an ankles well until the product had completely dried and I realised I had patches. I feel this is a good tanning product and the tan is very natural, however it washes off very easily and rubs of when near clothing. The bottle lasts a long time but dont quite feel it is worth the money as there is better products out there which are less hassle....

...After using tonnes of high-street fake tans I was very apprehensive about trying Fake Bake but decided to give it a go. The first time I purchased Fake Bake was from www.lookfantastic.co.uk and was in a set which included Fake Bake original lotion, body scrub and body oil and I was left with not much change from £50.00!! I thought it must be something special at that sort of price. I followed the instructions that came with it and started off by using the body polish all-over in the shower. SPF 45, cheap sun protection lotion.

Advantages: Cheap, good quality.
Disadvantages: Hard to find.

...I am reviewing SPF 45 not SPF 8 as in the picture, Ciao will not/cannot accept new product proposals at the moment so this seems to be the only way of doing this. Fake Bake - The best fake tan out there!

Advantages: I love the smell! Non streaky/non orange if applied correctly.

...Although I got on fantastically well with the Whipped Bronze Instant Self-Tanning Mousse from St Tropez I'm always up for trying new products and it appeared to me that more people use the normal 'lotion' as opposed to the mousse. Is it better? Let's see. ST TROPEZ TINTED SELF-TANNING LOTION The bottle for this lotion is quite different to the mousse. This lotion is presented in a smart, thick white plastic bottle with a black pump action nozzle. It proclaims itself as being 'Step 3' (and we all know what that means!) St Tropez like to make out that only their Step 1 and Step 2 could POSSIBLY precede Step 3 but I disagree - Step 1 is essentially just an exfoliator and Step 2 is a moisturiser. I would imagine that anyone willing to fork out money on a fake tan probably owns AT LEAST one exfoliator and moisturiser already...

Most natural tan!

Advantages: Natural tan, long lasting, easy to apply
Disadvantages: smells

...I use this product regularly and think it is the best fake tan of them all! My best results have been when I exfoliate before and moisturise 3 hours before applying the tan. So I recommend doing this before you fake tan. Most of the time I skip this step as it still does acheive excellent results. I think it is important to leave 3 hours after moisturising for the skin to soak up the moisture otherwise this can make your tan not develop as deep. The fake tan goes on brown so you can see where you are putting it a lot of the other fake tans out there go on colourless therefore you can't see where you have put it on and how heavy you have put it on. If I buy a new bottle I find the pump difficult to get the fake tan out however it does get going eventually. It does go on streaky however aslong I cover the area with fake tan...

Tanning Lotion is a No-Go

Dove has always been highly recommended from their deodrants to their soaps so I thought this would be great. ***The Product*** Dove claim that this will leave your skin feeling soft and smooth while gradually building up an even tan to suit your skin tone. There are two available lotions in fair/medium skin and medium/dark skin. ***Application*** You would apply this product like your would body moisturiser/butter. Simply squirt some onto the desired area and rub it in. I decided to use this last winter on my legs as they would be hid away if it went wrong. I didn't like how the product came out in a "squirting" manner as I felt I couldn't control how much I used. It didn't feel very nice on my hands and my legs felt slimey...

A convincing tan without the sun

...you wish to go a darker colour, you can reapply either the same day or the next day and see your tan increase. If I apply the mouse every day from Monday to Friday by the weekend, I look like I've had 2 weeks abroad and feel fantastic. DISADVANTAGES If it wasn't for the following disadvantages, I would have rated this product 5 stars, however I believe the advantages out-weigh the disadvantages: 1.
