...For those of you who read my last Torey Hayden review "Overheard in a Dream - Torey Hayden," you will know I am a huge fan, so huge infact that I have every single one of her books and am in the shop as soon as the new one is released. So after reading Overheard in a Dream and loving it I decided I would definitely buy her second novel "The Sunflower Forest." I had high expectations as I always do with Hayden's work, however after reading the first 3 chapters of this novel I was disappointed that it wasn't matching up to its predecessor and thus I wasn't really feeling very involved in the book. By that I mean I couldn't really picture the places being described and I couldn't really indulge in the scenarios being portrayed. Sally the Sunflower - Magnetic not Magical

Advantages: Easy to assemble, simple rules, short game play
Disadvantages: Not great value for money, limited life span

Smells like Sunflowers

Advantages: Easy to get hold of

...This is by far my favourite perfume, i have gone through a lot of bottles of it this year and i think Elizabeth Arden's pocket is a lot better of thanks to me. This perfume can be bought in a range of sizes depending on where you buy it from, Debenhams do it in a little gift pack, 30ml with a body wash, House of fraser do it on its own on in a gift pack and it is also avaliable in high street stores such as Argos and Boots. Prices for this perfume differ, they start in Argos at £12 and upto £26 in the Perfum shop for a bigger bottle, i bought mine duty free when i went to Brussels in november last year for £7.99. Currently this perfume is avaliable in a shop called Savers which is a cheaper version of Boots and Superdrug for the bargain price of £8.99. A not so Majestic Sunflower

According to Korres website the Korres Sunflower Extract & Vitamin F Shampoo is 'clinically proven to protect hair colour three times more efficiently than traditionally used antioxidants. Endowed with remarkable hair repairing properties that moisturise the hair shaft and reduce the rate of splitting.' Price: I bought this shampoo from a pharmacy shop in Greece,it was therefore much cheaper than what is being sold for in the UK.Average price for it is about £8.50. When I first tried this shampoo my hair was in a right state.It was bleached,dry,with split ends and lots of frizz.The Korres shampoo lathered really well and you only need a tiny bit for a good lather.It smells really nice...

Sunflowers and laughter

Advantages: funny, warm, great scenery, brilliant cast
Disadvantages: the film was over too soon

...discreetly behind strategically placed cherry tarts, sunflowers and sieves, to name but a few. They DO have trouble getting a proper photographer but eventually this is achieved, and the photos are taken...in hilarious circumstances. Each picture has an image of a sunflower on it somewhere becasue it was John Baker's favourite flower and they were making the calendar for him, really. I read somewhere that the real ladies had to get tipsy before taking their clothes off becasue they were all nervous. The permission of the national conference has to be sought and the scene with the national head of WI is very good- you feel like poking her in the eye! Local titillation blossoms into national interest and soon some of the girls are being whisked off to the chat shows of Hollywood for their five minutes of fame. Mirren and Walters have problems...

The easy way to reduce your fat intake

Advantages: Cuts down your fat intake dramatically
Disadvantages: none i can see as of yet

.... One way of reducing your fat intake without too much hassle is to stop cooking those foods which require frying in heaps of oil. You know one inch of oil in the pan and then just chuck in what needs frying. Not healthy but they taste good don?t they. Another alternative, which incidentally works out way cheaper as well, is to fork out 90p for 250ml of Fry light spray oil. It comes I a nice plastic container with a pretty bright yellow top. The top has red writing on it stating that it is the only 1 cal spray, and indeed since I have failed to find another I have no reason to doubt this claim. The bottom half of the spray bottle (which does look remarkably like a can of air freshener) is delicately patterned with sunflowers and has the maker?s emblem emblazoned across the front in large green letters. This book was like that, so a pleasant discovery whilst trying to find out a little more about this author was that there is another page to add to the ending of this book at http://www.torey-hayden.com, the author's website, though I could have read more even after the 460 pages of the book. Torey Hayden has written a number of books based on her work as a psychologist and special needs teacher, of which I only have one "Somebody Else's Kids", in a french translation (long story), but which I also enjoyed. They just make me SMILE!

Advantages: Large bright yellow flowers which make you smile
Disadvantages: the tall ones can get very tall!

...Spring must be on its way as my seeds have arrived!! One of the annuals I always grow are Sunflowers (Helianthus). Once upon a time there was only one variety ? come on now you all know what I?m talking about, those great big tall yellow flowers the size of dinner plates, which grew half way up the side of the house when you were a kid. Well now there are lots more varieties that vary in size from around 12 inches tall to those giants of 13 feet or more. Also there are those that bear multi heads and are ideal for cutting and now there are lots of variations in colour, ranging from that bright yellow down to an almost rusty red.
