But it was not till the 80's that it was realised suncreams helped prevent damage to our skin and not till the 90's that it was proved by scientists. However with all this knowledge now, How many of you are careful about making sure you never go out without protection. Children are most at risk from the sun as their bodies don't produce melanin which helps protect the skin from the UV rays. I managed to find Never Been Kissed for 25p which I thought was outstanding value , compared to the price I would pay if I were to buy it on DVD from Amazon (£4.98 to be precise - saving £4.73). Kiss Of The Dragon

Advantages: Great fight scenes
Disadvantages: NOt particularly an original story

Sunshining? then use sunnies!

Advantages: easy to apply, no bottles that leak, quick and easy
Disadvantages: your hands turn white, they are expensive and can tend to dry out

...So, ok we haven't really seen the sunshine yet and our normal summer is over, but i write this just in case the weather forecasters somehow manage to predict correctly that we do get an Indian summer!! My son is your average normal toddler won't keep still for more than five seconds at a time. ...Summer is upon us again and both my children arrived home from school with letters requesting that each child be supplied wtih suncream for use at break times. Due to the latest health and safety rules, the teahers are not supposed to administer the sun cream to children themselves (although I'm sure they would if a child was struggling). For my older child, who is 7, this wasn't a problem, I simply supplied hm with a small bottle of sun lotion and made him promise to apply it every break time. However, I had visions of my younger child of 4 years struggling with a bottle of sun lotion and ending up with more of it on her clothes and hair than on her skin. ...Kiss Me Mascara is well presented in a metallic tube and is a product of Kiss Me cosmetics. It comes in six shades,black,dark brown,medium brown,dark blue,dark purple and dark green. It has been clinically tested and is fine for contact lens wearers to use. A very different idea altogether and I for one wanted to try it ! The instructions tell me that once I have applied the mascara it will form `tubes` over my lashes making them look long and strong. ...With the kind of hot weather we have had this past week I have been really desperately needing a drink. Water is alright but sometimes you just want something with that bit more. I ran quickly to the supermarket to see what caught my fancy and there it was Sunny Delight in all its orange glory. I picked it up and ran to the checkout. Created in Florida in 1964 it was bought by P&G who carried out test marketing on Sunny Delight. In April '98 it was launched in the UK and the light version was launched in 2000. So, I remember the days when the adverts graced our screens the children running about playing then the mother giving them all Sunny Delight. It was cheesy but never really persuaded me to try it. ...My husband and I have recently subscribed to Sky movies which entitle us to watch some more channels. We are both film addicts and love to watch new and old films.
