...was a rather pleasurable ‘odd’. Very Sci-Fi. Ideal for some role playing I’d say. “Ground Control to Major Tom…. la la la…. I’m getting very near….la la la”. And another one bites the dust. Review of Durex Ribbed

Very cheap, very slow delivery

Advantages: Very very cheap, great selection on films and storage cards
Disadvantages: Sloooooow delivery and website is slow to load.

...I first came across 7 Day Shop when I was told that my university photographic society purchased their films from them. When I checked it out I was absolutely amazed by the prices of the Fuji films! I have recently bought a bulk pack of 20 Fuji Superia 400 36 exposure 35mm film for about £25. I think that works out at about £1.25 per film! I’ve seen them retail at £4 in other places. I also bought some film dated to December of this year for £2.99 for 3. That’s less than a quid a film! CR123A Panasonic batteries (used in many cameras) are also only £1.25 each and I have previously paid £8 for ONE of these batteries! These prices are definitely worth the wait of the slow delivery. You just have to make sure you plan well in advance and get your orders in well before you need the films or your present supply runs dry. Mine...

Super drunk cam

...flask in there of course...). I went for the Fujifilm single camera, as it was cheaper (ATS 149) than the equivalent Kodak single use camera (ATS 199). For that, I got a 27 exposure camera, with in built flash, with an 800 ASA Superia film. For shooting indoors the flash was of course necessary and the flash, charged using a button on the front, takes about 4 secs to charge. The button on the front could be pulled out to activate the flash automatically ? so that meant not having to set it between photos. Thereafter it is a question of point and click, and then wind on (manually). Of course, if you are keeping the camera in your pocket, then I would advise not winding on the camera until you are about to take the next photo, as otherwise you may end of lots of trouser pocket shots if you are not careful. Review of Fuji QuickSnap Disposable 35mm

A great little camera

Advantages: Small size, weatherproof, quality lens.
Disadvantages: Could be hard to use if you have big hands!

...getting used to. However, I have average sized hands (!?) and wear glasses - I have had no problems with either the controls or the viewfinder. You need to remember what the flash symbols mean on the back - I got confused between auto flash on, flash off and fill in at first. In summary: this is a great little 'point and shoot' 35mm camera with some good flash features; a quality lens and a 'go anywhere' pocket size. I usually use Fuji Superia 400 film and get 4x6 or 7x5 prints and on the whole results have been excellent. Good value too, if you shop around - current lowest price I have seen is 79 pounds including postage. RRP is 99 pounds. Also consider: Zoom models of this camera - more expensive, less compact and not as good lens/picture quality - but the convenience of having a zoom is useful....

Worth it for free

Advantages: It's free when you process a film
Disadvantages: Colours are muted and prints grainy (for this speed of film)

...of grain will make your pictures vibrant, accurate, smooth and able to be enlarged to bigger pictures with the same quality. For those of you that havn't tried other film - take a look at Fuji Superia 200 or NPC 160 and compare the pictures. As with many choices - personal preference rules in film selection. But just because it is free, don't assume that it is a bargain !...

...light - VERY low light (if you push it), action shots. The next section falls into two categories; Colour print film: Standard and Professional: *STANDARD The Superia range that everybody knows and loves, has just been updated (X TRA is the affix), with the technology of the lesser known professional film Reala. What this means is that Fuji have added a fourth emulsion layer (normal films have three: Red, green and blue), which reduces the reflection of red light, therefore enhancing a lot of subtlety in the green spectrum. Reala has been doing this for years and is my personal favorite for complete reality colour reproduction (hence the name), so I'm pretty happy that they decided to use the same technology on 'normal' films. *Superia 100 (soon to be X TRA?) Basic 100 iso film, very good for sunny holidays in the Bahamas...
