...I have been with Npower now for 2 years since i moved into my own place. I don't really have a good word to say about them. I moved in and rang them as they were the previous owners electric supplier. Since i don't have gas i decided it would just be easier to go with them...so i rang them to say i was new in the property and wanted the supply back on....They spoke to me in a one-tone voice and were just not interested. They told me that, it was all sorted....about 2 weeks later i received a letter saying someone would be calling out to my property...nobody turned up on the day it said on the letter, i rang them and they told me it was a few days later they would be calling out. They also wanted me to pay £150 a month for my bill as at the time i couldn't afford to pay the bill they had sent out....i did ask for a pre...

However although they charge quite reasonably for their prices they have no understanding of customer service. Over the past two years we have put up with this hassle because of their prices but is it time to change? The problems began when we continuously received estimated bills from them, despite the fact that on some occasions they had actually read the meter. Now we have what I class as a strange gas meter, as in its not one I have ever seen before. The worst supplier I've experienced on-line

Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Cheap is no good if the goods don't arrive

...In my opinion, CCK is the worst supplier I have ever dealt with on-line. I placed the order as usual, thinking I had a competitive price then realised no order confirmation appeared on screen. Nor did I receive an email confirming. It was the type of thing i'd read about but never experienced. I checked my paypal account and the money had been taken yet two weeks on the goods had not arrived in time for the birthday they were meant for. Delivery was meanty to be in 2-4 days so I rang CCK and was told "we'll email you". It was quite apparent that they weren't going to from the tone of the voice so I asked her to confirm when - the next 48 hours. Low and behold no email so I raised an issue with Paypal and emailed directly several times asking to cancel and refund the order. Again no response - only when I raised as a dispute...

...Over the last few years i have had numerous people calling at my door. what do they have in common? They al work for one or other of the energy suppliers(too many to mention). They all promise huge savings on your energy bills if you transfer to them but can they really be cheaper?. After they go through thier set piece about thier cheaper prices I always ask a simple question. ...the daytime rates even for boiling a tank of water to do the washing up cost a fortune. So I send these guys away to check their facts and most times I never see them again. The British Gas bloke was quite decent and actually came back to confirm that he'd made a mistake!! I was quite sorry I couldn't give him any business really. I tell this cautionary tale because I want to illustrate that most people who will approach you to change your gas or electricity supplier don't have the first clue about what they are selling. So it makes sense to apply a few basic rules. First of all, if it is not a convenient time, don't be afraid to tell them so. If they really want your business they'll come back on the date and time you specify. You have no obligation to let these people into your house. And they have no right to pressure you into a sale...
