Diamond SupraExpress 56e PRO-A fabulous fast 56K modem

Advantages: Fast and reliable
Disadvantages: Lacking 25-pin serial connector

...This modem was the second I bought just after unmetered ISP's first went hot and I got my registration disk for ntlworld (sorry to anyone who hasnt got theirs yet). Until this time I refused to get an ISP from home because I knew that I would be on for an average of 12 hours a day and simply could not afford that. The first modem I bought was a cheap "hayes compatible" 56K flex external from the local shop which I had numerous problems with and took back 24 hours after purchase. At this point I actually decided to find out which modems were considered as good and discovered that Diamond have a very good reputation and are not that expensive. I nipped out again to a different retailer and bought the "Diamond SupraExpress 56e PRO". When I got it home I plugged it on the machine and it went off like a charm connected perfectly...

Bose Quiet Comfort Noise Cancelling Headphones

Advantages: Great sound, hardly any background noise

...These headphones, for their price ($200-350), are worth it. The sound quality and depth that the headphones produce are second to none. The sound that is produced by the headphones is rich; the high end notes are crisp, and the low end notes make your whole head shake (depending on the amount of bass you put into them). The noise cancelling works like a charm. When on an aeroplane I cannot hear any background noise at all, I have finally found peace on flights!!! The headphones not only cut out background noise from aeroplanes but from anywhere else, on the bus they make it seem like your the only one there, they are even useful when not listening to music, noise just stops so you can have a quiet snooze in your garden or in bed. I find that they would do anything to get new customers, or when an existing customer decide to upgrade (e.g. FREE phone number for sales), but once you've became their customer, you would have to ring premium rate numbers for any kind of support (0870, even 09 numbers for technical support). My nightmare began last year (Oct 2007) when I decided to cancel and go with a much cheaper provider (with faster speed). ...In December last year my wife and I were booked on a Thomson flight only as a return journey from Malaga, Spain, to Doncaster\ Sheffield airport. We arrived at Malaga airport at least 2 hours before departure time, only to find that the flight had been cancelled. No explanation was given and there was no one there to advise.We were left with no alternative but to pay for a later flight via Easyjet.
