...My children and I went out to the local leisure centre today fully intending to go ice skating, unfortunately for them, I twisted my ankle on the way there (I have a weak ankle due to an accident a few years ago) and so skating was completely out of the question as children under 8yrs old must be accompanied by an adult on the rink. So to make it up to them both (who were extremely disappointed as they both love ice skating) we decided to go to the local cinema instead. There were a few films showing that were suitable, Harry Potter, The Simpsons, Bratz movie (son was not amused when I suggested this lol) and Surf's up. As we had already seen the Simpsons, and Harry Potter we opted for Surf's up by default. ...I was lucky enough to be introduced to surfing at a very young age, living in the West Country where it’s easy to get to good quality, friendly surfing spots in reasonable time. I grew up on the North Devon coast; so playing in the water came naturally. At the age of 14 I was introduced to 'real' surfing, and haven't looked back since. Surfing, if you have the chance to do it is one of the best ways to keep fit and the feeling it gives you is just amazing, that you really need to try it for yourself. I would urge anyone just to give it a go, well worth it! As a really young kid I started surfing the waves on a bogie or belly board. This is a short foam board of about 4 foot long. ...I firstly came across this laundry tablet in my local Tesco’s. It was on special offer so l gave it a go – l bought the tablets which (I think) were £2.79 for 18 tablets or 9 washes. So, why choose Surf Tablets? PACKAGING – the packaging is excellent. A compact box which holds the round tablets. They are colourful, as well – Sun Fresh is a lovely tangerine colour. The boxes are easy store – they do not take up too much precious cupboard space. SMELL – They leave your clothes smelling very good. You know like how your mum always could get them smelling! I love that initial smell wafting at me when l open the washing machine door. CLEANING POWERS – These two little tablets in their little net back can sure shift a lot of dirt! ...Surf Tropical isn't just a washing powder, it's like a perfume for your clothes! Sure it washes them, your whites will really stay white and your colours will stay coloured but for me, it is about the way they feel and smell after the wash! The experience is not in putting the powder in the machine, but taking the clothes out again afterwards! Only a small amount is needed for a large wash so a small box will last you for ages! When I hang my washing up indoors on a rainy day and put the radiators on to help it to dry, the scent that fills the room almost instantly is beautiful! Once the clothes have dried and you are wearing them, it is like wearing a perfume that lasts all day! Available in a range of scents, Tropical is by far my favourite.... Read review

Example: I am about to go on holiday to Florida, and have a hire car for two weeks, and accommodation for the second week only. I decided that I would like to drive to New Orleans. ...the surf. We found the surf lessons great and everyone was standing by the end of the first lesson, we were taught safety and practiced getting up on a board on the beach to start with. Surf lesson prices vary and a half day course is £25 - this includes tuition and equipment. There are also full day courses, weekend courses and six day courses. We learnt loads during our surf lessons and we also had a great time staying at the lodge - but I was ready to go home and recover - I never realised surfing was so tiring. This great surf school also does road trips to surifng in Penzance, St Ives -carbis bay, porthtowan and other great surf breaks in Cornwall.... Read review

...When people mention Newquay the two words which spring to mind are surfing and clubbing. Newquay is a surfing mecca, situated on the north coast of Cornwall it is ideally placed to receive the consistent swells produced by the Atlantic. The town itself is full of surf shops and surfers and caters for many tourists who flock to the place in the summer. The place can afford the luxury of having a number of fabulous beaches which cater for a whole range of surfers with varying abilities. The first beach people think of when Newquay is mentioned is Fistral. Fistral is home to some of the best waves in England attracting a host of surfers and staging many WQS tour events and BSA events, however this makes it extremely popular and the line up is often jammed.
