Suffocating on Surfacing

Advantages: Lush production; "I Love You"; "Sweet Surrender"; "Full of Grace".
Disadvantages: McLachlan's most conventional, unexciting, uninspired, monotonous, dangerously anesthetizing disc; lyric-less booklet.

...I hate to downrate anything by Canadian songstress Sarah McLachlan, but "Surfacing" (1997) simply pales against the rest of her impressive discography. Might she have been submerged for far too long before coming up for air to record this? "Surfacing" feels as if it's stuck in one deep, long groove, and "Suffocating" might have been a more apt title. Despite what producer Pierre Marchand and Sarah say about "Solace" (an album of "unfinished" songs), that sophomore effort from 1991 far outstrips this later one in terms of novelty, excitement and inspiration. While the lush production values equal those of "Fumbling Towards Ecstasy" ("FTE", 1993), "Surfacing" lacks FTE's originality and diversity. Scratch Underneath the Surface

Advantages: Jaw-Dropping Lyricism, Awesome Subject Matter, Outstanding Production
Disadvantages: TOO Many Skits, some weaker production

...One of the greatest emcees in the history of hip-hop, in this reviewer's humble opinion is The Genius a.k.a. Gza, from the Wu-Tang Clan. His lyrics are complex, well-written, thoughtful, intelligent, and not to mention, loaded with metaphors and similes. His debut album, which predates the Wu-Tang Clan debut, is 1991's Words from the Genius. Though on-point lyricall, this album suffered due to poor sales and the fact that it is extremely rare, and underrated. Gza didn't strike gold until his sophomore LP, Liquid Swords hit stores in 1995. Backed by step-brother Rza and his unique and fabulous production methods, this is considered to be one of the greatest albums in Hip-Hop history. Review of Beneath The Surface - GZA

You won't be able to surface from this novel

Advantages: britlliant use of language and literary techniques
Disadvantages: non-linear narrative may appear challenging

...this is an uterly compelling read. Surfacing traces the physical and psychological journey of it's unnamed protagonist as she begins to dissct the fabricated lies of her past on a quest to achieve self-integration. Atwood's characterisation and manipulation of language throughout the novel provides the reader with a complex, intriguing and in some places frustrating narrative, which in turn envolpes the audience, immersing them in the narrators own journey. It is definately worth a read even if its merely for the sheer beauty of Atwood's language, which is in many places, beyond poetic. However, if you cant cope with the frustration of unanswered questions, and a challenging narrative style which flicks constantly between past and present tense, then this book is not for you!...

Scratching the surface..........

Advantages: good looks, deeper beauty
Disadvantages: nothing underneath

...and lovely exterior and that pressure is on every one , especially the young. Now esthetic beauty has its place and it's something I'm sure we'd all be happy to have thrust upon us, but it has it's price and its pitfalls. If it's skin deep you want then it's only skin deep you'll get back. If people like you for your surface then they'll only like you surface deep. Under the surface is another kind of beauty. It's the kind of beauty that's warm and lasting.It's the beauty that inspires great freindships and caring that lasts a long time and carries much weight. It's the kind that builds lives and life long trusts. So is beauty only skin deep? Somtimes, I do think that there are two kinds of beauty though. There's no saying that you can't have both, those who do are truly blessed, but if it comes to a choice I'll take...

...At the time of the release of their second full length, 'Surface To Air', prog rock/synth duo Zombi embarked on a US tour with the hugely successful progessive metal band Isis, and their influence on Zombi shows, right down to the sleeve art. The front cover of 'Surface To Air' shows an aerial photograph of a mysterious blue landscape, and the inner sleeve contains similar pictures of vast cloud formations and river networks in a variety of garish greens and oranges, giving them a somewhat alien quality. The cover is strikingly similar to the cover of Isis' 2004 album 'Panopticon', which also features a deep blue-coloured aerial shot taken from a similar altitude. Lemon surface cleaner and polish

Advantages: Lovely lemony smell brilliant cleaning
Disadvantages: none that I noticed

...? The footprints and the sticky fingers are not a problem anymore as long as I have got Pledge Amber Lemon Multi surface clean and Dust! The cost was another reason to buy it at only 99p a can. I have to revise the amount it costs I noticed that the price has indeed gone down to only 78p a can what a bargain. A great fragrance and a fantastic polish/cleaner complete!...

CLEANS SURFACES IN A FLASH

Advantages: cuts through dirt, grease and burnt on stains. Leaves surfaces clean and shiny
Disadvantages: bleach may irritate some poeples skin

As you can see from the picture at the top of this review the bottle of Flash Spray With Bleach is supplied in a tall white plastic bottle which has an orange lid and white trigger. I like the fact that the bottle is a trigger action one because it saves you time, all you have to do is spray it onto the surfaces you want to clean and wipe it off. As I have already mentioned this particular product can be used in both the kitchen and bathroom and it is suitable to use on a wide variety of different surfaces. There are a few surfaces which it isn't suitable to use on and these are aluminium, linoleum, vinyl, rubber, wood, painted and varnished surfaces as the bleach could damage and discolour the surface. Again as this is a bleach product you should also be careful when you are using it and don't spray...

Review of Flash spray with bleach

The perfect cleaner for my mucky floors!

Advantages: A really good cleaner that draws the dirt away.
Disadvantages: Looks a little lurid before diluting.
