Sutton Circuit - Probably The Best Karting Venue in the Midlands

Advantages: Good track, good karts, good staff, clean, inviting

...Sutton circuit is based in a small village called Sutton in the Elms, near Broughton Astley, Leicestershire. I have been going to the circuit now for about 2 years, at least once a month. I have also visited many of the outdoor karting circuits in the midlands, and a couple a little further a field. I can honestly say that Sutton is the best maintained track, best maintaoned karts, and some of the nicest people you would want to meet. Some of the circuits I have visited, the quality of the karts is completely unacceptable when you are paying upto £45 for 30 minutes. In all of my time going to sutton I have only ever seen two karts break down, or have any mechanical problems. The circuit is around 600 yards long, and a good average lap is around 39 seconds whilst using the hire karts. The lap record using these karts is 38...

Amazingly Average

LOCATION Located in the North east of Birmingham, 8 miles from the International Airport, the Lea Marston Hotel is one the of the leading independent hotels in the area and luckily for me was located about 5 minutes from the office where I was required to be for the next 3 days. The Strand Palace Hotel

...We stayed at this hotel in London a little over a month ago now for two nights, we chose this hotel mainly because of the central location and because it was only a ten minuite walk from the show we had booked to go too. Check in was very quick - About ten minuites and the staff at the reception seemed very friendly. My first thoughts on the hotel was that it looked really clean and that it was nicely decorated and it looked modern. I was a little dissapointed with our room as it was very small and basic, our room had a double bed, tea and coffee making facilities, a tv with satellite and a small, basic en suite bathroom with a shower. The views from our room very very poor - A block of offices which made our room dark as they were so close. The hotel has two bars and two resturaunts, the bars were again nicely decorated...

...I recently went on a cultural girlie trip with a friend to Paris. I was left to do all the booking. I was looking for a reasonable hotel, near a metro stop, which included breakfast. I came across the Hotel International on various travel sites and it seemed fairly highly rated so I booked us in for three nights. LOCATION: The hotel is located 6 Rue Auguste Barbier in the 11th Arrondissement. The nearest Metro stop is Garcourt which was a two minute walk away and it was a five minute walk to Republique which gives good links to other lines. It's not really central enough to avoid the Metro and walk to the attractions but it was located so close to a stop that it seemed ideal. PRICE: Prices vary depending on size of room and season. There are singles, doubles and triples available. We paid Euro254 for the whole time...

Sutton Seeds "don't bother"

Advantages: Being able to chose plants form the comfort of your own home
Disadvantages: Poor quality, Packaging, delivery. everything you'd expect a mailorder company to do.

...I used Sutton Seeds for the first and last time this year. First off I ordered a number of pot ready perennial plants that the website states should reach you in a healthy condition with up to 13cm of growth. These arrived packed in small plastic containers holding 5 plants in each. The container grips the root ball of the plant in one section and foliage is held in the upper part of the packaging and if the plants inside the packaging differ from each other then they are marked A, B, C etc. The Fuchsia plants I ordered where marked up this way so i carefully marked up the pots i potted on with but soon realized as these grew that they had not been correctly packaged an now I'm having to wait for them to flower before I can find out which is which. When the next lot of plants arrived they were very small with around 2 to 3 cm of growth...

relaxing retreat

...I grew up in and around the area of Sutton Coldfield and had always wanted to stop at this hotel so when I saw a bargain on the internet of £50 for the room I jumped at the chance and promptly booked me and my partner in for a night. We were in the process of buying a house and things were getting pretty stressful so a night away in a hotel making use of spa facilities seemed like bliss! We arrived at the hotel around 2pm and were greeted by friendly staff in a well lit lobby/reception area who quickly checked us in and informed us of the location of the room so off we headed to the mirrored lift... When the lift opened on our floor it seemed quite dark even though the lights were on but we put this down to the dark wallpaper and continued our search for the room which due to the corridors being well signposted didn't take too...

La Fitness in Sutton Coldfield - Don't Bother!

...I joined La Fitness - Sutton Coldfield just under a year ago and I am counting the days until it ends. I thought this gym would be a good choice as it was close to the train station where I get off and would encourage me to go more frequently. There is a Bannatyne at New Oscott but I couldn't face the traffic on the Chester Road. I secured a corporate deal by introducing our company to LA Fitness. As I forgot my card on the day I actually went to sign up, I missed the deal to upgrade so that I would be able to use any gym for the same price. This would've helped me as I could've used the branch in town as I work nearby. When I joined I noticed that there was often equipment that wasn't working and was left for a fairly long time before it was fixed. The air conditioning is only on now and then and the swimming pool's heating...

I have reserved rooms using this service in the past, and have been very pleased. This, however, came to an end this summer. I booked a room at the Travel Inn in Reykjavik, only to find, upon arrival, that my wife, son, and myself were escorted to a car with no explanation. Eventually the clerk told us that we would be driven to the "other" location. The Travel Inn has, it seems, bought space in the Pavi Guesthouse (over a mile away). I would have refused on principle, but I know the situation in Reykjavik is such that I might have had no options.
