Susuki GSXR-750. The Hooligans weapon of choice!!!

Advantages: Speed, handling, reliability, snarly exhaust note.
Disadvantages: Maybe not quite as stylish looking as some other bikes.

...Susuki GSXR-750. The Hooligans weapon of choice!!! Previous to buying my Gixxer 750 three years ago I owned a 2001 Kawasaki Ninja 600. I ended up having no end of expensive problems with the Kawasaki and in the end I part-exchanged the bike for a brand new Suzuki GSXR-750 K5 model. I bought my bike as the new model was coming out so I got a hefty discount on it. You can pick one of these up for about £4000 now. Which is good considering that they are known for their bomb-proof engines so you shouldn?t get any problems. Just be careful as they are a bit of a track day goers favourite so might have been trashed around race tracks. ~~~~~~~ The Look ~~~~~~~ I bought one of the less popular colour schemes, yellow and black. I actually really like this colour. It looks good with my black windshield. A bonus is that you will see a lot...

Suzuki GP125 Racer

Advantages: Rotary inlet valve, Large cooling fins.
Disadvantages: Big gap between 2nd and 3rd.

...Suzuki GP125's make great junior gp racers F4 here in New Zealand. We race F4 and F5 (50's) on go-kart tracks and longer GP tracks. My own GP125 runs on 17" rims and is shod with Honda RS125 GP slicks. Frame is braced, racing seat and clipons. The barrel is skimmed 1.75mm and "O" ringed. Port timing is Ex opens 86 (short track) and 83 degrees (long track) ATDC Transfers 114 degrees ATDC and inlet timing is opens 145 BTDC and closes 55 (short track) 85 (long track) ATDC. Runs an expansion chamber modelled on the 84 RM125 spec's and because of the rough and tumble (close racing and many crashes) of racing to the limit on go-cart tracks the pipe is made out of 1.25mm material and rigidly mounted so it does not get munched easily in a crash. F4 125 two strokes are limited to air cooling and a single 24mm carb. It is putting out...

Unleash the Animal

Advantages: all the fun of a 600, WITH MUCH MORE POWER!!!!!!
Disadvantages: Not quite as good finish as Honda's

...Suzuki GSX-R750- A Review By Addy Having been an ardent dedicated Honda man for the majority of my biking life, I actually relented and bought a Suzuki GSX-R 750. I was definitely looking for a step up from super-sport 600's, after having 3 different models of CBR 600. I was giving serious contemplation to two other bikes at this time which were Aprilia RSV Millie, or a Honda CBR 900 Fireblade. However, after much deliberation and friend's recommendations, I went for the Suzuki. This was based on the judgement that you get the best of both worlds combining raw 750 power in a 600 chassis. The first Gixer 750 was released in 1985 and has undergone periodical changes since then. THE LOOK As in the picture above I purchased mine in the typical blue and white Gixer colours. In standard form the bike is aesthetically pleasing...

Suzuki SV650(s) : Simply..a damn good bike

Advantages: Light, economical, easy to ride and fun. Comfortable too.
Disadvantages: Sound with standard can! Niggly quality issues..

...by 6-12mm to keep rake the same. It's very light as well, it took me a while to learn to ride it after coming from a Z750.. like it just turns in and I ended up having to sit up to get back on line :D Reliability Some issues with the curvy SV models are just silly, such as a clutch cover that can weep oil as it warps over time. It's made of plastic so what do you expect? Can be replaced with a metal one from woodcraft or a new plastic one, although the issue will come back after a while. When replacing a plastic cover with a new one, be sure to apply some Suzuki bond around the join to be sure it won't happen again, along with a new o-ring. Other than that it's a very durable engine and lasts forever, just keep it serviced ETC ETC. Practicality Fuel range is anything between 110 and 220 miles depending on how you...

Short Live Susuki

Advantages: Fair deals
Disadvantages: Many including carefree staff

...EDITED*EDITED*EDITED*EDITED Susuki today are becoming more and more wide spread but less known. We alaways remember thosestylish 4x4's with the bulky tyres which many of us loved. However. Go to a dealer now and they also specialize in cars. THIS IS A WARNING TO ALL THE YOUNG AND VERY NICE PEOPLE OUT THERE LOOKING FOR A NEW CAR! If you know me well here at Ciao, you'd know that I am crazy for taking new cars out on the road known as a testdrive. BUT WAIT. Thats not the case here. I was simply on my way to a friends when I walked past and noticed a used car they were selling dead cheap. It was a Ford Fiesta, S-reg for £4,995. It looked like a bargain so I walked over and started to take a look. Though. by the way! They do sell approved and used cars, but I think thats a good thing, so thats one good hand to...

Nee naa , nee naa , its the police on a motorbike

Advantages: good for role play
Disadvantages: none

...I was playing with the Lego police motorcycle at work the other day. I pushed it fast through the streets and my policeman helped the Lego lady find the lost Lego boy. My police man got back on his motorbike and rushed through the Lego streets, there had been a Lego car accident. Then my Lego police motor bile had to go to a robbery he was met by the Lego police car the Lego policemen sucessfully caught the robber and took him to Lego jail. No I am not getting into my second childhood; I was at work playing with a group of children. I love my job it allows me to play with all the toys. This Lego police motorbike is a good addition to any Lego set. You can buy it at most toy or toy departments or look on line where you can buy it at http://shop.lego.com/Product/?p=7235 . Where it only costs £2.99. I am sure it is available at many...

Review of Lego Police: Police Motorcycle

The SV 650 is a quality motorcycle that does everything.

Advantages: Performance, purchase price, cheap insurance, resale value.
Disadvantages: May want a bigger bike after awhile. Cheesy-looking rear bumper.

...I have owned and driven many motorcycles for about eleven years now, and always enjoy the versatility of a "middle-weight" bike. The Suzuki SV 650 is by far the greatest value on the market right now. For under $7,500 US you get a very sharp looking bike that performs well and does everything you ask of it. The SV 650 comes with fuel-injection, which may not seem like much, but once you get used to a fuel injected bike, starting up a bike without it will make you feel like you're in the stone age (you'd be amazed at how many "value bikes" that are still carbureted). So working from the inside out, I love the 90 degree v-twin. Almost every sport or "sportier" bike out there is an inline four (except Ducatis of course). The SV has a distinctive exhaust note that only a V-twin can give, and of course an after market exhaust pipe/system (and...

Suzuki GS125 - Learner legal fun !

Advantages: Small, light, cheap, cheap to run, comfortable
Disadvantages: low powered and parts may be harder to get

...This will be an ongoing review as I have just passed my CBT and bought one of these little commuters. The longer I own it the more I will add. ~ CBT ~ For those who don't know, anyone wishing to ride a moped or motorcycle has to sit a CBT to ride on the road. It stands for Compulsory Basic Training, if you don't pass it will be because they think you are not fit/safe to ride on road. There are two types of bikes you can ride, a moped or a motorcycle, Majority of people learn on a bike up to the engine size of 125cc but if you are over 21 you could do it on a larger machine. After completing my training on a Yamaha SR 125 I picked up my little Suzuki GS125 and drove it 180 miles back to my house (so this is where most of my review will come from). ~ The bike ~ At first glance it's nothing special but...

Diamond review  Suzuki SV650 - What a great bike full stop

Advantages: Brilliant first / budget bike, sporty all rounder, mid-range grunt, cheap
Disadvantages: Budget suspension, budget feel

...I passed my Direct Access test in 2002, and was looking for a newbie friendly bike to get some miles under my belt, and do the commuting to work. Having no prior experience, I needed a user friendly bike with a bit of poke to keep me interested. The logical choice was the Suzuki SV650. Dubbed by RiDE magazine as the best first bike ever, and lauded by many other mags as a great budget bike, I had to find out more. The bike is light 170kg, has 70bhp, and a good spread of torque from low down. It comes as a naked bike the SV650 and a half faired 's' version. These differ slightly in foot peg and handlebar positioning, the former having normal bars, the latter clip-ons and rear set pegs. Both have good ground clearance. I bought my SVs (half faired) used, a W plate with 8k on the clock. Over the next two years I put on 22k miles...

suzuki jimni 1.3 JLX

Advantages: Easy to park , smooth , comfortable , air conditioning
Disadvantages: boot too small

...The Suzuki Jimny I'm going to review is the 1.3 JLX What a fantastic little vehicle the suzuki jimni is. My family have had a few 4x4s all of different makes but there isn't one that compares to this little wonder on wheels. As we live in a remote area with a steep hill to climb in winter this is the only vehicle to get us home and dry.Others we have had to abandon and walk home on more than one ocasion. During a day out to a sheepdog trials on a wet summers evening where the ground was extremely muddy. 4 x 4s were getting stuck one after the other. The only one which was sailing by was my dad in his suzuki. Some of the owners of the great big expensive 4 x 4s used to snigger at this little box - they soon stopped laughing when they were the one's walking up the field. *Appearance * A compact little vehicle in a two...
