...Susuki GSXR-750. The Hooligans weapon of choice!!! Previous to buying my Gixxer 750 three years ago I owned a 2001 Kawasaki Ninja 600. I ended up having no end of expensive problems with the Kawasaki and in the end I part-exchanged the bike for a brand new Suzuki GSXR-750 K5 model. I bought my bike as the new model was coming out so I got a hefty discount on it. You can pick one of these up for about £4000 now. Which is good considering that they are known for their bomb-proof engines so you shouldn?t get any problems. Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa

Advantages: every thing
Disadvantages: none

...ride it and would not recomend it for any learners. be carefull if you are at the lights and want to just get infront of a car on my old gsx750 this was easy and i just speed away in first and think nothing of it - on the busa you give it too much and you will find yourself starring at the sky trying to get the front wheel back down. all in all the Suzuki Hayabusa is a great touring machine that gives the best handling, a great deal of confort and a feeling of safety which is hard to describe why with a rocket strapped to you but it is just an amazing machine. I have a big weekend planned for it now and am looking forward to watching it eat through allot more K's on the way....

I was definitely looking for a step up from super-sport 600's, after having 3 different models of CBR 600. 1998 model hates the cold

...As with most reviews of this bike, I COULD begin by talking about the bike's affinity with the track, but I'd only find myself repeating what has been said numerous times before. Instead, I feel I should talk about a specific problem I have found with the '98 model. My bike has now become my regular commuting bike, travelling around 1000 miles a month to and from outer London. It's been a dream to ride up until recently, when the weather started to turn cold. On a rather cold, windy morning earlier this month my GSX-R finally gave up on me whilst riding to work. The engine cut out as I pulled up to a busy set of traffic lights, the fuel-injection warning light came on, and the bike refused to start again. Not being the most mechanically minded person I know, I tried everything I coukld to start it......bump start, check fuses...

GSX Alternative

Advantages: Great individual looks, brill handling!
Disadvantages: Seen as the GSX "Teapot" tourer (NOT true!!)

...Only recently have i learned to ride a motorbike after four years of nagging my boyfriend (yes - i'm a girl!) I thought the GSX750W would be like its counterpart the R model and be a tad too quick to bite if i did anything wrong, but this bike is very forgiving. The clutch has to be tweeked in order to get the front wheel in the air (I have tried very hard!). Top performance bandit lookalike but very unique, and light enough for us weedy girls to handle. The best thing about this bike however, is the price....a snip at just £3,600!! Great starter bike, which also gives you the experience of handling a bigger, faster bike! Not as popular as they should be, and sound great with a can!! ...I have had my GSX750F for 3 years now, it?s a 2001 K1 model in black. The GSXF bike (600 and 750) has never really been popular with most bikers, the look is an acquired taste and it regularly gets a good slating on the biking forums. The Fairing on this bike differs from other sports bikes as it flows from front to back in one line whereas all other sports bikes stop when the bodywork gets as far as your legs. Don?t be put off this bike by other peoples prejudices, Its no where near as bad as they all make out, it just looks a little different. Performance : The 750 develops about 95bhp, this is ample power to take you to a quarter mile in just over 11 seconds and carry on to a top speed of over 140mph ( more than you need on our uneven roads ). The Bike The day I passed my test, I bought a brand new CBR600F/sport, which was restricted by the shop.
