...I would just like to write a review of Wife Swap, a reality television show that is shown on Channel Four. There are of course showings on other UK channels and American (or possibly even other) equivalents by now, but my review on this occasion is on the UK one. What prompted me to write this review? I feel that Wife Swap is by far the best reality TV show that is in existence, because it shows real life in a non-threatnening/ confrontational manner. ...This book was one I was quite interested in reading, I mean lets be honest who hasn't dreamt about living someone else's life I know I have! I actually do have days when I can remember life before the kids, other half and mortgage. Wife Swap - two annoying people swap families for a while

...Wife Swap is a Channel 4 programme in which the wives in two very different families change places for two weeks to experience a different kind of life. To give you an idea of what the show is like, I'll describe the episode I am currently watching. Wife A is basically a slob. She spends all her days either in bed or on the computer and is too lazy to feed her 18 month old daughter anything but junk food. Swap wives?

Advantages: compulsive viewing
Disadvantages: too much arguing, bad for the kids

...Wife swap is basically about 2 families that are the complete opposite. The wives swap places and leave a manual of how they run the house for the other woman to follow. After a week (and plenty of shouting and swearing) the ?wife? tells the family everything they cant stand and the rest of the family have to live by their rules for the second week. It invariably ends in tears. After the second week is over the 2 couples meet up to ?talk? about how it went, but again it usually ends up as shouting and arguing. HOW POPULAR IS IT? Read It Swap It: Love It!

Advantages: Huge library of books, lots of users, easy to use
Disadvantages: I suppose some dishonest people but they are rare on here

Don't let your books gather dust, swap them!

Advantages: Only pay the price of postage to recieve a book you haven't yet read!
Disadvantages: Operates on trust so it could always be open to untrustworthy people, I've had no problems.

...I love reading books, but buying them can be quite expensive and it can be hard to sell books on, such as on eBay, because the postage costs are quite high for books, the majority of them have to go through as a packet. This leaves you with an ever growing book shelf filled with books you probably won't ever read again, but you're not sure what to do with them. Take them to a charity shop? Loan them to a friend? ...i have just finished reading this book and what a wonderful book it is, my sister brought me the book and was highly recommended. She is married with 2 children and i am 26, single with no children. When she told me about the book i immediately started reading ot and from then could not put it down for the next 2 weeks!! a single girl who lives in London wanting to know if the grass is greener on the other side, wanting a settled life, nice house, children and dogs. Well this is the exact scenario me and my sister have day in day out so it was right up my street. We all want to know from time to time whether the grass really is greener dont we? so if this is you.......get out there and buy this book!! its wicked!! swapping lives with someone else is a bizzare thing to do, so before we all consider doing it you need to read this book...
