...When I was a kid I loved sweets and nothing has changed, I have 2 kids of my own and I still love sweets. I have to watch what I eat now though because after years of abuse and many trips to the dentist my teeth cannot take the sugar as well as they used to. I know I will be giving my age away, but I can remember when I could buy threepence, (that’s in old money, pre decimalisation) worth of sweets and I could buy loads. My 10 favourite are as follows, ~~Dew Drops~~ These are not that easy to get hold of, I used to buy them loose in the days when most shops had the big jars of sweets and I could buy 2oz or 4oz depending on how much money I had. These are small pieces of fruit jelly covered in sugar. These days I sometimes buy them from the newsagent up the road or pinch them out of my daughter’s Dolly Mixtures... Read review

...Okay, there was going to be have to be a time when I tackled the subject of my top 10 sweets. Though I try not to eat too many, I am perhaps the sweetest tooth in the UK (hence the Ciao username), and I felt it was my duty to write a review on My Top 10 Sweets. Melanie’s old feelings for Jake start to harbour again, but when Andrew comes back, her feelings are starting to become all mixed up again. Will Jake and Melanie get together? If so what will happen to Andrew? If Mel and Jake do get together, will they be able to adjust to each others very different life style? Will Mel’s mother stop nit picking, and is there a reason she does? You will have to rent or buy it to see. The acting is one of Sweet Home Alabama’s best points. ...I have a golden tin on the mantle piece it used to contain Smith Kendons mixed fruit travel sweets. I have eaten a few of these tins over my lifetime. My dad used to buy them and occasionally we buy them too. Smith Kendon has been making sweets since 1780. Smith Kendon sweets started in America .I believe they sold out at some stage to Kraft and more recently in 2005 I believe Kraft sold them to Wriggleys Not only do Smith Kendon make mixed fruit travel sweets they also make acid Lemon, blackcurrant, and mocha coffee travel sweets. ...I love sweets!! I have a very sweet tooth which constantly needs feeding! I love almost all sweets so this has been a very difficult choice to pick just ten but here goes, my top ten sweets: *~1~* My favourite sweets are liquorice allsorts. They are an assortment of liquorice twisted into different shapes and with soft sugar coating on either side. There are also bits of liquorice surrounded by coconut. There are also some pink and blue jelly ones surrounded by little circles of sugar, yummy . In the original Bassetts packets you used to get a really cool blue guy which tasted amazing but they seem to have stopped making them! For me one of the things that reminds me of summer are the flowers in the garden, the perfume that lingers on the air as the long days turn to dusk and a velvety night falls. I do like to be outside in the evenings watching the sun go down and the moon, sometimes a huge golden globe in the sky rise, to light the garden with little pools of brightness in the dark. ...I was first introduced to sweet potatoes when my eldest child, now 7, was a baby. A lot of the information I received on baby weaning recommended sweet potatoes as an ideal weaning food, and this was how I first used it. I am no great cook, but I can prepare basic family meals, neither can I afford to spend too much money nor waste it on foods that my children will not eat. I used sweet potato as a weaning food, firstly it was on its own and then over time I added other vegetables. I cook my sweet potato in the microwave, they are very easy to prepare. A quick wash and then peel, I then cut them into chunks and place in a microwaveable dish and microwave until soft, usually about 7-8 minutes, depending on how many I am doing at a time. When they are cooled I just puree them down with a hand blender and feed to my baby when needed... Read review

...Last year for my birthday, I received a bottle of Kylie Minogue's first edition 'Darling' perfume. It had such a refreshing, glorious scent that I used it almost every day! Unfortunately, this resulted in it running out quite quickly, and I was left with an empty bottle - I was far from pleased! It was to my delight this Christmas when I opened up a present from my Dad, and revealed a brand new bottle of Miss Minogue's newer 'Sweet Darling'! ...Sweets, i think we all love them - espically us on a diet - they are irresistable and somehow the health warnings don't really bother us when it comes to sugar. Whether it is children are adults we are all tempted all the time by advertising, being offered or just seeing the sugary goodness. Almost all 'sweet' products contain just over 36% of sugar and have more additives than you can shake a stick at! Being the sweet-tooth that i am i thought i'd produce a list of 10 of Phoebe's best sellers. Starting from the bottom! *+*+*+*+*+Number 10+*+*+*+*+* \Milka chocolate/ I have never seen this anywhere in Britain, only in airports. But ever since i started going to France i fell in love with this chocolate. It comes in loads of different styles and is really creamy. I think it is only available within Europe excluding the UK...
