...As anyone who has read my beer reviews will know by now I am a big fan of supporting my local breweries. I live in Derbyshire and until recent times local breweries were a bit thin on the ground. In the past couple of years there has been a positive boom in the amount of brewers who have set up around where I live. These include Thornbridge Hall, Spire and, the subject of this review, Peak Ales. Not being one to stem their creative flow I have made it my selfless task to taste as many local beers as I can. Advantages: great vocals and songwriting

Advantages: Swift - Says it all. Quick off the mark
Disadvantages: Street Cred!

...I bought a Suzuki Swift in Jan 04, and I can say I was impressed. Being quite ignorant about cars at that time, I was unsure about the pro's and con's on cars. See my other review for information...... When I drove the Swift out of the showroom I was impressed with the speed it could reach in such a short time. Not saying it is a porshe or anything, but it was impressive! Top speed I reached out of it was 120mph at a push. Not bad for a 998litre. Some downsides to the Swift include: - Expensive parts (Being Japanese) - Basic Model (That is what you may be looking for) - Loud Engine - Electric window problem (in my personal opinion) Some good points include: - Cheap tyre replacement - Quick acceleration - Cheap Tax My Swift did around 25,000 miles in a year, quite a high mileage. ...The very first time I saw this 'cheeky, funky chappy with attitude' was in my local Suzuki dealers show room when my husband went to pick up his Grand Vitara, I wasn't even thinking of buying myself a new car but for some strange reason I just kept going back to have another look at the 'NEW SWIFT' that had caught my eye !! It was dressed in Superior white and stood in a class of it's own - cute but rugged, different but familiar, small but sturdy - and most of all, well priced for what it had to offer!! He has an infatuation with famous poets and the characters they create. ...I recently had to buy a new vacuum cleaner becuase I melted the old one in front of the gas fire.Whilst shopping around for a new one I come across the Vax VS-19 Swift and swiftly purchased one. I bought it because of its Dyson like style and the clear dust canister on the front. ***Product*** The Vax VS-19 Swift is an upright bagless vacuum cleaner and boasts 1500 watts of cyclonic power. The filter is HEPA and should help keep the germs at bay. The filter is permanent which means no more looking for the right bag. I find this quite a task and usually end up buying a compatable. It has an automatic height adjuster so you should not suck up the lead. It also hosts a large 3 litre clear dust caniter on the front that holds 5.6kg of dust and still remains easy manoeuvrable. ...When buying my first car I had many things to consider. The cost of the car itself, the cost of my insurance, the running costs, and like any vain early twenties person, the look of it. I was younger then, looks in a car meant a lot to me but I was constrained by my budget. Looking in the national used car papers I sat down and circled a lot of ads. The more I rang numbers the more disheartened I got, most of the ones I wanted were sold by the time I picked up the phone. ...After using a small low powered vacuum cleaner for ages, I thought it would be a good time to change. Looking at the range of bagless cleaners on the market it came down to a choice of the VAX Swift or another well known bagless cleaner. Being honest, initially it was the price that made my choice. The VAX came in at £90. Having used a VAX carpet cleaner in the past I was hoping that their vacuum cleaners would be as good. The unit requires some home assembly but this is a pretty straightforward process. The manual diagrams are a little sketchy (pardon the pun), so it did take a little longer than expected. You will need a Phillips screwdriver as the handle and tool storage need to be screwed to the main unit. Once assembly was complete it was time to try it out. ...Once upon a time I had a Dyson. In my opinion Dyson's are probably the best vacuum cleaner on the market but I will never buy one again because I have a husband who is a keen diy-er. I spent more time washing the filters than I did cleaning the floors and I made a decision to buy cheaper alternatives in future. Anyway today the Sanyo bit the dust after a furious bout of sanding artex and luckily Argos was still open. The Vax VS-19 Swift 1600 was reduced to £59.99 in store, it's a good name, it had a HEPA filter and a free turbo tool and it looked like it would do the job so I bought it. I was surprised by the small size of the box and assumed that there would be some assembly required but the box was easy to carry and weighed 5.6 kg so it wasn't difficult carrying it back to my car some distance away.
