...I spent a lot of my time swimming either training or competing. I have been training since I was about 8 or 9 and I am still doing it today which means I have been training for about 5 or 6 years. Throughout this time I have achieved so much and have had so much fun. I love the sport even though many of my friends make fun of me because of the swimwear which can be uncomfortable at times and shows a lot of skin and is always tight. TRAINING As I just said I have been training for about 5 or 6 years but before that I did swimming lessons and so on. I train at Bo'ness Swimming club and have trained there since the very beginning. I train three times a week on Monday nights from 7 until 9, on Thursday nights from 6 until 9 and on Fridays nights from 5.30 until 7. Colourful swim nappies!

Advantages: Useful, reusable
Disadvantages: awkward to remove

...I never realised how complicated it was to take your baby swimming until I had my own. Then I realised I would have to be more prepared than just take a towel and a swimming costume, I would have to invest in some form of water proof nappy and I didn't have a clue where to start, whether the costumes with an inbuilt nappy were suitable enough or if I just get a big bulk pack of 'huggies little swimmers'. I did try the bulk packets of huggies swimmers which are suitable for babies to wear underneath their swimming costume but then when my baby out grew her costume I decided to invest in one of these Bambino Mio Swim Nappies as they don't need a costume on top so it was one less item to worry about stuffing into my bag. To Swim or not to Swim?

Advantages: Keeps you fit, gives you a challenge, gives you self confidence, makes you feel good!
Disadvantages: Swimming requires a swimming pool, if you don't have one near by then you are a very unlucky!

...help with your swimming technique, a good place to start would be the "expert village" selection that really helped me out when I was having trouble. If you find it difficult to learn from you tube then ask a fellow swimmer at the pool or better yet ask the Lifeguard. The most important thing to remember with swimming is that keeping it up is easier than stopping.. To be a good swimmer I would advise going at least 3 times a week, 1000 metres a day should be the minimum distance. Perhaps try doing 10 lengths on a kickboard(ask the lifeguard for one), 10 lengths breast stroke, 10/backstroke, 10/freestyle. This should really help to keep you fit and make you feel better about yourself. Make sure you have a good pair of goggles(expensive ones last much longer, Speedo being the best choice) and a nice swimming suit you feel comfortable in...

It's an evening session so I get straight in the shower when I get home, but if you're going earlier in the day, take toiletries with you - there are usually hairdryers and whatnot there to use. When you're choosing a swim suit or swim shorts, my advise is the simpler the better. And ALWAYS try them on before you take them home or get into a pool. If they feel loose and baggy when they're dry they'll most certainly fall off once they get weighted down with water!!! I've had a couple of embarrassing experiences in swimming pools when I've bought swim costumes without trying them on first, one of which I had to put knots in the shoulders of after loosing the top half of my costume in the middle of the deep end. I almost drowned!! But I didn't let it scar me, and can laugh about it all now...

...Embassy Suites On a recent visit to California, I was booked into this hotel because it was close to places I had to visit for work. The hotel itself is only a short drive from the airport (it took about half an hour in a hire car, and not knowing where I was going) and is located in La Jolla which is apparently quite an affluent area, featuring banks and houses and hotels as well as restaurants and a rather nice shopping mall. It's easy to drive into the hotel and should you ask for it there is valet parking in the high rise car park, but I just parked round the back of the hotel. Once inside the hotel, check in was quick and efficient and I was immediately impressed with the well set out entrance lobby featuring some nice little touches such as plentiful flowers. The Other Side Of Nelly: Suit

..."Suit" is the second half of a double album by Nelly released in 2004. It has him work in his smoother form, with music which is more R&B-like, than suited to rap. This means that you have a choice with Nelly's music, whether you enjoy his grittier side, or his singing side, to then pick a CD to match your preference. 1. "Play It Off" To set the scene for this album, we get a massive collaboratiion by Nelly as he gets a chance to rp as Pharrell does the production and singing for him. Although their work rarely comes together, when it does, such as in "Flap Ya Wings" (off "Sweat"), it is always top-quality.
