...Swiss Vanilla Protein Conditioner- OK, OK. So I know that this isn't in the right category but this is the closest I could get as Ciao don't give us the ability to suggest new brands, only products. OK, so its a conditioner with the usual claims covering the packaging: leaves hair beautifully soft and manageable, radiating with health, body and shine. Theres nothing there out of the ordinary, no claim that isn't made on almost every other conditioner bottle. The thing that attracted me to this conditioner was the name: Swiss Vanilla Protein Conditioner. Like almost everyone I know, I love vanilla. No, I adore it. The caption on the front of the bottle claims to "Soothe & instantly help diminish lines and puffiness, even reducing the look of stress & fatigue around the eyes". Sorted! On the back of the bottle is tells a little about the Swiss-based company that produce St. Ives products and goes on to claim that "...Only St. Ives captures these secrets in a soothing gel that hydrates and revitalises skin, minimising the effects of stress like lines, puffiness and shadows". I was sold. It cost me about £3, although this was in the USA. I have bought it since for £3.99 in the UK, and that gets you 4oz. Disadvantages: In the case of the Raspberry version an odd smell!

.... You are supposed to apply in circular movements to exfoliate your skin (while obviously avoiding the sensitive skin around your eyes) before leaving it to dry. Like the basic mask, the “10 – 15 mins” is a blatant lie! Prepare to look like a complete wally for about 20 minutes – the effect in enhanced somewhat by the raspberry seeds which make you look like you have horrific spots. Afterwards, my skin felt very smooth, but as I have been using the other version more, I can’t really comment on long term effects. I have used the ordinary version more for the simple reason that that this version smells exactly like swiss roll! That may not sound too impressive to the folks back home, but here in Mexico it does make it sound rather exotic, like a snazzy imported product rather than the worldwide brand it is. Not tested on animals. In the UK this costs around £4 for 400ml. Here it's a little cheaper and you get a little more for your money, but either way I think it's worth the price. ...Aren't Sachets great? I always see products I would love to try but I cant be arsed to pay loadsa money only to find out that it doesnt work! Im sure im not alone on this. Anyway... I decided that for just 99p I could get a 30ml sachet of St Ives Swiss Hair formula... so I did. I am addicted to conditioners, and as I have curly hair that frizzes whenever theres even the tiniest hint of moisture in the air (I heard somewhere that in England we live in 80% saturated air... dunno if its true, but my hair was less than impressed to know this... if hair knew anthing that is.... interesting...) ...It is very difficult to find lotions or beauty products in general that are perfect and do exactly what you're looking for. That is why the majority of us have bottles and bottles of half used formulas, lotions, creams etc. My search for the perfect lotion ended with my discovery of St. Ives Swiss Formula. It is about middle of the road in cost, £3 for 200ml. It comes in a spray bottle much like hairspray except it is a fine mist of lotion that is easy to spray directly onto the skin. The scent that I have is sunflower and silk and the scent is absolutely divine. It can be raining and windy outside but as soon as I spray one squirt of St.Ives Formula the summer is brought back to me. The lotion itself is very smooth and light.
