Switzerland Professional X takes a more direct approach to the whole country. For generic ground textures it substitutes aerial photographs, then populates them with autogen trees and buildings. Generic roadways have been replaced with photos of the real thing. Lakes and waterways have been customized to fit the photographs, and a new terrain mesh is provided that has four times as much detail (19m) as the FSX default (76m), so that mountains and valleys are more clearly defined. Finally, 784 landmark objects have been custom-placed for use in VFR navigation. The one thing that is not updated in this product are the airports. Where necessary, these have been adjusted to blend in with the photographic ground textures, but the objects placed there are the same as youd find in the default scenery.Two versions are included, one for FS2004 and FSX.The new Switzerland Professional is the ultimate VFR-scenery and is now made for the FSX! Every 3D object has been positioned absolutely realistic in whole Switzerland. The houses are placed at the actual spot. The trees and forests in 3D are precisely set. ...I have been to Geneva three times now because I have a friend who lives there. Otherwise I?m not sure it would have crossed my mind to visit. It?s certainly not one of those places on everyone?s must see list. Geneva is in Switzerland but is actually surrounded by France. It is a very unique city - a mix of European and British / American influences with people of all different nationalities...

Geneva - It's Nice But it Ain't Switzerland
Advantages: Free public transport, scenic, great food, lots of museums
Disadvantages: Pretty expensive, museums closed Mondays, doesn't feel very Swiss
...on the back of one of those postage stamps that you know you're meant to use on bigger letters but never have to hand at the time. It's situated in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, it's full of foreigners and its most recognisable landmark is in another country. I can't really say that in three and a bit days in Geneva I added much to my Geneva knowledge files but I did have a rather enjoyable time...

Take a step off the tourist trail in Switzerland
Advantages: Beautiful medieval city, relatively cheap, lots to do, excellent transport links
Disadvantages: none
...and lots of Swiss nationals visiting Fribourg. So why is this and what does Fribourg have to offer?
