The Heart of Your Shopping
Review of Mid City Centre (Sydney) by
scrypton
Advantages: Everything is in there!
Disadvantages: The place is so huge you'll get tired before you see everything!
...If you come to Sydney, you are sure not to miss this huge and luxurious shopping centre located in the middle of city's shopping area. As a new completely renovated shopping centre in Sydney, no other place can beat the comfort of shopping in Mid City Centre.
Mid City Centre offers you product from range of clothings (like Esprit and lots of top Australian clothing brands), sunglasses, suitcases and travelling needs, shoes, up to make ups, phones, and accessories like watch, earrings and stuff.
From the 1st floor until the 6th floor, you will find everything you want at Grace Bros, one of the biggest shopping retailers in Australia. It also offers you:
- clothings from kids, teens, up to men's and women's clothings,
- entertainment such as cds, videos, games,
- electronics, like DVDs, home computings, kitchen needs,
- up...

The Rocks - Sydney, Australia
Review of The Rocks (Sydney) by
natalierees
Advantages: Full of history, bars, clubs, markets
Disadvantages: none
...I am currently on holiday in Australia and have just stayed near The Rocks in Sydney so while checking my emails I thought I would write a review - besides its too hot outside (35 degress just to make you all jealous) to be doing much else.
The Rocks area is situated in Sydney right next to the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House right on the edge of the harbour. According to the lonely planet guide it was the first place that the Europeans settled when arriving in Sydney. It is a very quaint area of Sydney although very lively. It is full of shops, cafes, juice bars (seems all the rage here) restaurants and pubs and is a place that is full of life any time of the day or night.
The area is mainly pedestrianised so is safe to wander across from shop to shop although there are some lovely shops and I have just realised that I have...

Glebe's the place to be
Review of Glebe (Sydney) by
lula153
Advantages: Great range of products at reasonable prices
Disadvantages: Only on once a week (Saturdays) and it can get quite busy
...Glebe market is the best market in Sydney. But maybe I’m biased - I used to live a 10 minute walk away and spent many a happy Saturday morning there with my Aussie chums.
The market is held every Saturday from 9am to 5pm in the grounds of Glebe Public School, about a ten minute bus ride from downtown Sydney, or a ten minute walk from Central Station.
It’s a high quality, stylish affair. The stalls are a mixture of new young designers selling unique clothing and jewellery and second-hand connoisseurs selling the creme de la creme of pre-loved clothes.
There’s also a smattering of stalls selling Asian jewellery and clothing at very cheap prices. And there are plenty of crafty offerings in the shape of handmade cards, cosmetics and art.
The junk stalls selling antiques, old records, books and photographs...

From history to shopping
Review of Queen Victoria Building (Sydney) by
scrypton
Advantages: In the middle of city
Disadvantages: Expensive parking rate. But you should catch bus anyway!
...Once you've arrived in Sydney, the first thing you have to do is to come to city and go to Queen Victoria Building. Known as QVB, this building with its historical value which still being maintained, now has lots of shops from clothing to food up to the view of the historical building itself.
The transport to QVB is just too easy. You can take a bus from almost anywhere and it will sure arrive in front of QVB, or you can take trains to TownHall, just next to QVB building.
If you are looking for clothings you have been dreaming of, you have to go to QVB. From Benetton, Guess, Esprit, JAG and much more, it's like all shopping comes into one. Even more, they also have some boutiques so you dont have to be worry in case you have lots of spare money!
The best part of being in QVB is that it is surrounded by other shopping centers...

Life's a beach! lol
Review of Bondi Beach (Sydney) by
LIZKEMPO
Advantages: Nice to see
Disadvantages: too crowded
...Bondi Beach is one of Australia's most famous beaches, located in Sydney it is a huge tourist destination. Bondo or 'Boondi' is an Aboriganal name meaning 'Water breaking over rocks' or 'noise of water breaking over rocks'
It is a 1 kilometre stretch of lovely sandy beach but not as tranquil as I would have liked, in fact it was over crowded with holiday makers and a squeeze to find a spot to sunbathe.
I would highly recommend the Coogee to Bondi Beach walk, this is great day out and a chance to experience some of the smaller beaches along the way. The Bondi Market is worth a visit, held each Sunday 10am 5pm, Bondi also offers a varity of coffee shops and eating places.
Bondi is also a popular spot for Christmas day, although it does not offer free built in BBQ's like some of the other beaches it is bring your...

Review of Paddy`s (Sydney) by
rj_1973
Advantages: location,price, variety
Disadvantages: can get busy
...Paddys markets is situated in the heart of Chinatown, and is open every weekend and some weekdays although then it only serves as a fruit and vegetable market.
If its bargains you want then you couldn't go far wrong by visiting here.
There are an abundance of stalls, around 300 in total selling everything from designer sunglasses to cuddly toys.Prices are very reasonable and its the ideal place to pick up a australian related gifts for people back home. All stalls are under cover so the weather, be it scorching sun or freezing rain, should not be a problem.
It can get pretty crowded especialy in the afternoon, so best bet is to go around 11 o'clock in the morning. If you go to early though, many of the stalls won't be set up.
The fruit and veg market is also open on a weekend.Prices are far less than anywhere else in Sydney...

The city centre shopping mall in Belfast
Review of CastleCourt, Northern Ireland by
funkazzy11
Advantages: Convenient, good selection of shops
Disadvantages: Can end up spending too much and too long in here!
...Castlecourt is the largest indoor shopping mall in Belfast's city centre, with the main entrance in Royal Avenue(the main shopping high street). There is also a side entrance to the centre and an entrance at the far end of the complex from the car park.
A plus point to the complex is that it has its own multi storey car park. However, it is quite expensive compared ith other car parks in the city centre such as City Car Parks. It encourages Sunday shopping however by offering a reduced pricing poilicy on this day. The store is open from 1 o'clock to six on a Sunday and from 9 o'clock to 7pm weekdays with late nights to 9pm on Thursdays. Extended opening times are evident in the run up to Chr | | |
